It was so hotly-anticipated that, despite WoW being 16 years old (it launched on Nov. 23rd 2004) the expansion sold 3.7 million copies on day one.

I wouldnt say abandoned, but its clearly running with a skeleton crew not remotely large enough to do what needs to be done. I think that Activision greatly overestimates the players tolerance level for what they are going to put up with.

Of course everyone on the forum is going to disagree until its painfully obvious.
The future for Blizzard is very bleak. They have a parent company who is not back filling positions that have left.
They are closing major blizzard offices. All of their real talent has left for competition that is directly working on titles that will compete with WoW and blizzard games
Content is already washed out of shadowlands. Every other post on the forums is someone complaining about the balance, or transmogs, just being bored.
Once real competition is released for blizzard games it doesn’t have enough talent left to respond.

So just like it’s always been, and the other bits, well they’ve been doing quite a few changes etc actually, except during christmas etc 'cause of a break so it’s expected you’d not hear about anything.

Ehhhh… The expansion is “Fine” so far, the Eye of the Jailer kind of kill the Maw fun for me but beside that and a MASSIVE lack of gear this expansion is far better than BFA by a lot.

pure dps classes should at least have one spec that can 1v1 a palladin or druid. those lame hybrid classes with 4 button rotations smashing the(should be)more complex pure dps classes is not right.

I think you are already in a world thats more fantasy than even WoW.
Activision has no impact on Blizzard or World of Warcraft.

Was just talking about it with a friend, and came to the conclusion that since it’s ~40 hours of work for me to swap to fire mage (one of the 5 viable classes) that it’s just best for me to get gladiator and then call it for this xpac because of the balance.
I keep waiting for them to balance it, but the only positive balance this xpac is being a druid. Would have been fun to have rolled druid, but I didn’t, so I lost Shadowlands.
I think they dropped this after Legion. That’s the last time I saw them care.
Still they’ll milk this cash cow and I’ll keep coming back like the junkie I am.

you seem like you must be playing in a world where you’re 3/10 lfr, 202 ilvl, and haven’t completed higher than a 2 m+, which is exactly where you are.
The people that liked the original post are people that actually played this game and found that balance druids are reigning kings and if you’re not playing one of the high court classes that are on the B tier below them then you don’t really get to play much of this xpac.

Covid issues hampering the work that can be done( Even with work from home) notwithstanding, there’s ongoing content coming out. it might not be content you enjoy, but a truly abandoned MMO, WoW is not.
There was a while there in SWTOR, after like, 6 months after the Hutt Cartel expack came out where the only new thing coming out were cosmetics for the cash shop.

I’ll give you poor communication on their part, the rest is debatable though.
What’s debatable is whether or not balance will come at any point … you can deliberate that all you want, but it’s not here, and class balance has been on a long enough extended leave of absence that it’s not surprising at all that people have long crossed the line of frustration and are now completely apathetic.

True, game is giga trash, atleast my sub ends soon. until then, I’m going to keep posting about how uber trash it is and how blizz don’t do anything to solve it.
