Afternoon! I’m just wondering if there are active PvP (preferably RPPvP) era servers still going? I’m thinking about rolling on one but I’d rather not be all alone.
Whitemane is the biggest PvP cluster. Grobbulus has a very small tight knit community. Most vanilla PvPers are playing Anniversary because early phases of vanilla PvP are little bit more balanced.
Appreciate the info. Do you know what the faction balance is like on either of those?
I don’t know what Whitemane is looking like atm since it took a big hit in population, but typically Horde always have the edge. There’s still a handful of very good Alliance PvPers on Era. Grobbulus as far as I know only has one or two raid groups on either faction.
For RPPvP, I think your only options are Deviate Delight or Grobbulus, which kinda have settled into two different niches…
- DD - This was where the fresh enjoyers rolled before Blizzard made fresh servers. The community there is relatively new as a result, but I’m not sure if they’re still around or if things died off with the new official anniversary servers. If you’re interested, do some digging.
- Grob - We have a very small community here. On Alliance we have a Naxx capable guild who runs whatever content we can on Mondays and Fridays based on how many turn up. Sometimes that’s Naxx, sometims it’s AQ20/ZG. We also have a Horde guild who are a bit smaller, but love PvP and starting fights. We also do server community events now and again. For more info, search for posts by Jarl-Grobbulus on these forums.
Finally, as folks have pointed out, Whitemane is the main non RP PvP server and will probably be where you’ll find the most people in Era, both prior to fresh and now.
Thank you very much for all of the info!
