I know there’s stats out there of server population. Is there a way to find active/online players on a or across all servers?
At this point, about 250,000 active players.
You can try to guess from raiding numbers on wowprog or pvp ladders.
There’s about 200k+ characters that did heroic raid first boss. (10600 guilds)
About 5700 characters that are 1600+ rated in rated pvp.
Some random website estimate with activity on reddit about 1.1M daily users, which is pretty much as random as you can get for a guess but it’s there.
What’s that the number on oceanic servers ?
That’s pretty much it. An educated guess is all you will ever have, and it’s probably better to make that guess on your own rather than take other people’s “educated” opinion, which a lot of the time is tainted by personal bias.
As Zoumz said, there are ways to see how many players have done certain raids or achieved a certain level in PvP. There are realm population sites. You can pore over the investor reports and interviews given by staff to see if there are any viable clues in there.
If you can piece together what percentage of video game players use forums, you can even look at the forum code here to see the number of users between time A and time B (or at least those that have earned rank 1, which comes with any rudimentary activity.) Monitor that for a week and then extrapolate a number.
Nice troll post
Not really Theres over 7 million "active"120s though so its estimated to be in the 3-4 million range but we really don’t know
Where does that come from?
Realmpop actaully its up to 8 million 120s. The only way the miss you is if you don’t have a guild or don’t post in the AH.
Blizzard active player count is private. You shouldn’t use it as a bullying tool.
Considering it’s only the same 30-40 people on these forums circle jerking each other, multiply by 900 - 4, divide by your age, there’s the player count
They say on their website that they don’t consider those numbers they use as active population thought. So yea my understanding is atleast under 8M. For me I consider that about 15-20% of the active population does heroic raids, so my guess is around 1M-1.5M active players. Maybe double it if we talk about subs.
Last article I read on the issue said the estimated player base is sitting at 1 million right now.
250000 if lucky in states/ocean/other places and falling. Not sure about rest.
There are more players than the Doom and Gloom Brigade claim to be, and there are less players than the White Knights of Azgalor hope there are. (my usual estimates)

No way to tell. It’s all guessing/estimating. W/e the number is, it feels low unless you are in a major city.
There’s no real number to go by. Any thing else people say is just BS and guessing. They stopped releasing info on the users back when WoW lost a ton of players back in WoD.
All i care about and there is enough for me. Is lfr and doing group things. sense there plenty do not care for numbers. It sure is low though. Most of peek times maybe 80 or 90 on my main server of area 52.
You are replying to me but I cannot even make out what you are saying. Please clear up all of the typos and clearly state what you are trying to convey. Thanks!
I set Census to automatically run. It repeats after 5 minutes has passed since the last scan.
On Proudmoore-Alliance I’ve seen between 1800 - 3700 daily over the past few weeks.
They’re only set to private because probably Blizzard is ashamed on what the actual numbers are. Plus, he was only giving a rough estimate guess.
