Except that I know of at least a couple now who were caught in this ban wave (not me), who were banned for legitimately farming ZG. The appeals process is just as automated as the antiquated detection system (no one believes that your detection is high-tech lol).
I’m all for banning bots and cheaters who use botting software, but when you can’t legitimately appeal your own ban, or even find out what evidence was found against you, you have to learn to do better Blizzard. Quit taking the easy way out here.

NOW PLEASE REVERT THE 30 INSTANCE PER DAY LIMIT. There is a huge amount of players who play the game wholly and completely within the scope of fair and normal game play patterns that will be affected negatively by this.
On top of leveling and gearing; almost all of the most efficient gold farms in this game are all in instanced content, and playing for the length of 30 lockouts (6 hours) is something that a very large portion of the game’s population does regularly.
PLEASE DO NOT LOCK NORMAL PLAYERS OUT OF FAIR AND NORMAL GAMEPLAY PATTERNS JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T WANT TO PUT THE MANPOWER AND RESOURCES INTO ACTUALLY FIXING THE BOTTING/EXPLOITATIVE PLAYER PROBLEM.
INVEST IN GAMEMASTERS AND SOFTWARE ENGINEERS TO FIX THE ACTUAL PROBLEM. THIS IS THE WORST KIND OF GAME DESIGN.

It doesn’t do anything to stop bots. Botters are just going to run characters on 4 different realms now and swap between them every 6 hours.

You missed A TON. It’s not just the gold farming botters ruining the game, you have people destroying PVP brackets as well running honor bots 24/7.

We’ve also seen examples where the reported player was caught exploiting the game, and was removed from the game, and then quickly returned to doing the same thing on a new account with the same character name.

Thank you greatly for providing an official response; I would truly appreciate if you continued to provide communication, perhaps allowing us to know how the roll-out of this 30 cap hotfix is affecting gameplay and updates as you internally discover if this change accomplished its intended effects.
- I still would really like official word on what is defined as “exploitative” gameplay? I see in the end-user license agreement the following:
** “[…] influencing and/or facilitating the gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;”
Please, elucidate upon what aspects this 30-instance daily cap addresses? I am genuinely confused if using NPC pathing to AOE large quantities of mobs is considered here, or what else was the motivating actions that violate this end-user clause?
