Actions Taken to Address Exploitative Gameplay

I wonder why anyone would cheat. I complain (a lot) when I have trouble. Some of the game play is hard. But if you make it to easy it becomes boring. Why would anyone cheat? It would take all the fun out of the game.

well done Blizzard. Bots be everywhere.

8000 player Queue on Benediction. Can you please suspend accounts for avoiding to logout. Players are using macros so they never log out. Well I would like to log in. Also remote login should not be a thing but I am sure there is no way to discourage it.

if players are scripting to avoid log out then they will obviously be banned for violating ToS.

They need to target buyers with permaban and second tier people who receive money from them with suspensions of at least 2 weeks, only reducing demand will ever fix this.

Thanks Blizz

thank you amiliion times… over… !!! super big hugs

cool post I’m just posted for WCL

I’ve been playing since retail BC came out and bots hacked many friends of mine. I’m pretty sure we are now dealing with the grandkids of the bots that hacked my friends. They multiply I tell you, they multiply.

Just doing some av’s see heaps of people botting and just saw someone speed hacking cant report because of the report system doesn’t include reporting bots/hacks. Good Job.

thank you finally

I hope you got rid of all the blatantly bot-tacular DKs spamming BGs in ungemmed brutal gear.

Thanks Blizz, knew a solution was incoming!

This post aged well. Bots are still farming 24/7 all over the game with multiple reports on them.

maybe reduce the reasons for people to be buying gold, 16k mounts 9k rings, mounts that are that expensive should be BOA so you only have to buy it once for all toons. Mounts earned like the Armani war bear should be BOA also once they get removed so at least your own toons can share in your spoils. Reducing the cost of WoW in game items might help, or make then purchasable with a soulbound currency that you cant buy off these gold farmers.

I’m just wondering why blizzard doesn’t use IP address bans. From my understanding If you ban the IP it doesn’t matter if they get a new account, they still wont be able to access the servers unless they buy a new computer.

Imagine living in an apartment building and one of your neighbors gets IP banned, and suddenly the none of the WoW players in the building can log in.

Also, dynamic IP is still a thing. You should read a little bit about it.

well, I guess I don’t understand it how IP addresses work then. I thought it was more like a VIN number on a vehicle and would be specifically tied to X computer/device and you had to call in if you had an issue with your IP address that was assigned to you.

The IP that Bliz would see is closer to being a postal code than a VIN

sadly a drop in the bucket. You also make the problem worse by offering the wow token. There are so many botters in your games, please make it your top priority instead of buying bobby a new yacht. So many instances where botters are operating out in the open for all to see, and reporting them to you has 0 effect.
