Actions Taken Against Gallywix And Gold Selling

If you are connected to anybody in any way at all who does RMT, then stop is the message I get from that. Not familiar wih the organization, but I sure as heck wouldn’t even group with someone from it now that Blizzard has put them on blast.

Went way before it’s time, RIP Gallywix. My health official has notified us that Covid-19 was not transferred from GW to any of its neighbors, but it’s so sad to see C-19 claim another.

Thanks to health officials for their fast reporting of this virus!

The irony. It’s OK to sell full clears and boosts for in game gold as long as you buy that gold from Blizzard.

You do know that this has nothing to do with boosts? If you’d read the Blue Post… you’d see that members of Gallywix were selling gold for money… not taking money for boosts…

It sounds like no to affecting the contracted boosters. By the phrasing “These actions have primarily targeted the Gallywix organization so far” It sounds like they caught people directly with the organizing party performing the transactions. There are thousands of individuals who have performed boosts for them, but that doesn’t mean they are at all involved. Just boosting meant getting gold for performing an in game action, and is completely permitted. The organizing party is the one at fault here.

Guess u’ll have to start over in oroshire, dancing on mailboxes.

Good way to remove a ton of gold from circulation…Too bad it does nothing to stop the boosting communities.

BTW Gallywix is already back with the same leadership under the name “Phoenix”

Didn’t take long.

It says a lot about your game when people actually buy tokens with real money to pay for boosts to skip your content.

You don’t make people play the game by removing ways to skip it, you should just make quality content which is enjoyable to do regardless of the rewards instead of World of Chorecraft

A first party support for boost services would stop RMTs from happening.

Is it presumptuous to assume that everyone who engages in carries and advertising for Gallywix reads forums, twitter, wow news sites? I’d feel a little bad for someone who isn’t fully engaged getting banned out of ignorance.

It isn’t Blizzard’s fault or the game’s design that encourage players to buy boosts to skip content. It’s purely the community’s doing. In LFG, people want others to be a higher ilvl than what the dungeon/raid drops. People want 3k io for 18s or 19s, etc.

Basically this causes people to look for a boost if they can’t find a guild that will take them.

If this was the case then nobody would be able to climb haha, of course nobody will allow you into a 18 if your highest timed key is a 12, if you expect otherwise then no wonder you feel nobody accepts you.

No Furry, the systems in place are the main reason people get tired and just say “F it, I’ll buy a bunch of tokens and pay for people to armorstack for me, so I can finally get that one piece of gear I’ve been farming for months without luck”, a loot and reward system that’s RNG from start to end does not encourage people to do what they find fun, it just creates a giant pile of chores which you need to complete before you can start having fun.

This is in almost every game these days. It’s just part of games now and isn’t going away. Ever.

Impossible to do in this day and age, impossible. As long as there are buyers, there will be sellers and vice-versa… and that industry is clearly way more massive than most people know.

Anyone that believes an organization as large and complex as Gallywix was gold-only is either gullible, or willingly naive. Nobody would go through creating such a large and complicated venture without having a goal of making cash money.

Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can’t get away with breaking the rules over and over and over , I don’t care who you are. What goes around comes around. That’s how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you . Thank you Blizzard

best part is that we all know they never paid taxes on the RMT and now that this came to light expect the FBI to come looking for those back taxes.

A-freaking-men

you know. blizzard could have done the right thing, and banned everyone AFTER gallywix paid everyone so people like me that had a 250k balance and didn’t do anything against tos didn’t have to suffer as a result of something i had no control over.

Or you could of not worked for a shady “community” of RMT sellers :stuck_out_tongue:

Like they could actually do that…and you worked for the “drug dealer” as a mule knowing full well that they engage in illegal stuff. That was YOUR choice…so to toss blame on Blizzard is ludicrous.

No, it’s not really needed.

That is all the information you need.
