You get involved with a ponzi scheme, you take your chances.

Not the same leadership the eu part is gone I believe.

no ones “tossing blame at blizzard” maybe pull your head out of your but and realize that 80% of the people boosting had really small accounts and only did it as a way to make some extra gold.

Excellent! I can’t stand this pathetic boosting crap.

Why would they track gold flow? Trading gold for services is acceptable under the ToS; it’s services for cash that are against it.

Their one-size-fits-all hit a community that does thousands of legitimate transactions a day, when only a handful broke the ToS. That’s just lazy.

Your comparison is a silly one. To put it better, it’s like you’re working for a hospital, providing legitimate and legal services (as ALL GOLD ONLY SERVICES ARE PERFECTLY LEGAL), and a few other employees decided to do something illegal, and the entire hospital was shut down for it.

You still get zero sympathy as you just don’t get it. You were working for an illegal entity, period. and you knew it. You got what you deserve. Looking at it any other way is just being in denial.

Their business success was based on RLM… Seriously, how can you not see that.
The gold they made they sold for RLM!!! So anything done under that company blanket carries risk… everyone knew they did RLM transactions and that was the entire purpose for the company. People like Limrmonkil expanded that companies illegal activities and helped them do it, period. how can you not see this? Still, ZERO sympathy… its like the getaway car driver not knowing their friends were robbing the bank and asking for their cut after their friends got arrested. CMon now.

Seriously? People knew AFTER the fact that ENRON did what they did… She knew exactly what Gally was doing before they got busted, and still chose to work for them.

and again, what she did made Gally RL money which they used to violate Blizzard policy. So yes, she should be punished as well… period. Its like not even debatable.

THE GOLD SHE BROUGHT IN BY DOING THE RUNS WERE SOLD FOR RLM.

Its as simple as that

Izrn… your point is so far from reality im not commenting anymore.

Anyway, Blizzard obviously has the same viewpoint as me and I 100% agree with them. Anyone defending the other side clearly has a lot to lose and is probably guilty of one or all of the bannable topics and is coming on here thinking their “I am so innocent” tactic will make a difference. It wont… they will be banned too.

Im sorry but if “Everyone knew” like you say. I doubt they wouldve been nearly as popular as they are lol

There is a difference between having a goal of making cash and doing so through RMTs. Many systems have subscription systems which AFAIK don’t break the TOS. For example, TSM provides a subscription for additional features within their application. Others have patreons, coaching, or other systems.

So yeah, I’m the standard naive guy. I expected them to have some cash flow, just not from RMT, and am severely disappointed in the community. Any one who has been caught on either side of the RMT should have their names/guild stripped from any of the leader boards, mounts/titles, and gold removed. I think that is even more suitable punishment than bans…

Hope you like hearing about fiery birds

They literally don’t my dude. They actually love boosting as long as it’s for gold because it makes them so much money.

Nah was apparently all eu so na revenue services wouldn’t be involved.

I hope that this is the first step in destroying boosting all together

You do understand that blizzard literally makes thousands of dollars daily off people buying tokens for boosting right? They do not want to kill boosting they just want it to be done in a way that they get their cut.

I’d be interested to know exactly how many billions of gold is now stuck on banned accounts.

This action was also a HUGE gold sink across all server economys.

It’s a cycle worth so probably around six billion probably more in eu than na.

I was thinking a lot higher than just 6B. Surely any stockpiles were also removed too?
