Put the minimum bid price higher scrub…
You can’t expect to put value on something then when someone decides they want to buy it and put a bid in…that you can just yank it out from under them lmao.
And you’re saying they shouldn’t be allowed to do that?
if you want the benefit of people seeing your auction first you should risk it being bought for as low as you list it for, otherwise list it for what you’re really willing to sell it for dont waste our time

IMO, actually, yes. If someone puts a bid on something, it should be locked, and the seller should be unable to cancel the auction.

Yesterday I put 1 copper bids on about 200 auctions, one slipped through and I got a pristine black diamond for 1 copper. All the rest got cancelled. Its crazy annoying to have 200+ auctions of wildly overpriced enchanting mats followed by 1 page of correctly priced stuff. I always bid on those just to make them have to deal with it. I know it’s probably all automated but still. Screw them.

Follow up question, I’ve never used an AH add-on but are there any add ons that could just scan all open auctions and bid on anything that’s got a bid <5c?

I’m trying to convince people that it’s one person manipulating the market and refuse to use your gold on such overpriced nonsense.
But I keep getting told “It’s because there is more gold in the economy.”
It’s all fake and useless unless you convert it to real life benefits, such as, buying gear from raids or getting boosted, or illegal actual trading for gold.
It’s disgusting how one person decided to buy the whole market and overprice everything and everyone follows suit for no real reason other than ‘more gold’ gobble gobble gobble.
I have to agree, if you list it and it gets a bid, you shouldn’t be able to cancel. It would make the auction house be its namesake.
It would also put an end to 1C bid and 150% over average buyouts being listed at the top. Would be so nice to sort by buyout price low to high instead of bid price, without an addon.

I still remember how I made 450g after winning 200 texts with 26g bid. I’m guessing someone forgot a digit hehe.
Thanks for the reminder. I’d forgotten that there was a “Bid” option in addition to the “buyout” option. I use the AH every day, but I haven’t used the “Bid” option since around 2014.
I agree with the idea in this thread. Listing a “bid” price you won’t accept is a trick – a trick to get our item listed sooner in the UI. It should be broken.

That’s what comes with listing your bid at 1 copper…you get the best listing, but you sold yourself short because of it.
