Action Figure

I would love an action figure of my characters with their minions and or pets.

Is figureprints still around?

Sadly, I don’t think so. I think one company attempted to pick it up, but also didn’t last long.

Was a really cool thing that I’m shocked Blizzard didn’t invest into; especially how cheap 3D printing is now a days.

My guess is that it was never very lucrative.

Even jinx ultimately went under. The amount of money WoW players want to spend on things that aren’t WoW seems to be minimal.

I still have my Wrath era Kaioon figure-print.

It’s ugly as sin.

I had a free coupon for a figureprint. I never ended up using it. Oh well. I have enough clutter around the house as is.

You made a very valid call. It’s closet shelf-filler.

To be fair with Jinx I think a lot of companies just started doing more in house sells instead handing out their IP. For instance, BioWare, Bethesda, CDPR, and Blizzard do their own thing. I know they have a third party run their stores, but they don’t need to worry licensing and what not. Least that’s my theory. (I always loved the awesome class symbol shirts Jinx did.)

Same with ThinkGeek if you remember that, which slowly dissolved after GameStop acquired them.

Buy yourself a 3-D printer and go to town.

how much would you pay for that?

I’m looking at an entry level printer for $400.00 but there are cheaper and much more expensive ones out there.

the resins will be a cost too.

the printer doesn’t run cheap…

I’m thinking about making holograms (not real ones but they appear to be), looks like some fun.

If you’re looking mainly for stuff like fine detail you probably want to go with a resin printer (be aware that some resins can be pretty nasty with fumes and if they touch skin before being set, but there are other options that are not too bad) since they don’t end up with anywhere near as noticeable layer lines as the filament style ones (plus you don’t have to worry as much about the technical set up and mechanical problems with extruders and such) but the prints tend to be more brittle than the other kind.

My resin printer is an Anycubic, a few years old now, so not one of the 4k or higher ones, but it makes very detailed prints, and the setup is pretty easy.

I will note that if you want a filament style printer, get one that’s at least compatible with the big names out there so that it’s easier if you need to get replacement parts or if you want to upgrade components. It can really complicate things if you have an oddball model that has more unique components.

I would pay about $200 for a good quality figure with an armor set and weapon(s).

I also has mine. I was a blood Elf back then lol

It’s not perfect, but you could use Hero Forge for making your characters.

I’d like one myself. I mean, I got a build-a-bear but it’s just not the same.
