As the title says… The action bars get stuck and don’t matter if you press your key bind or click on them the spell will not be cast. You can cast from the spell book just fine, but not the action bars… Until you do a /reload.
This happens even without any add-ons.
I am having the same issue, getting a clicking noise when I try to activate any ability on my hotbars. Although CLICKING hotbars for the abilities does work when this happens.
I figure it’s just an interaction with addons, but I’m not sure how to fix it and its very frustrating to have to reload everytime I switch between zones
I’m having similar issue. On an action bar, only 2 spells aren’t working: Teleportation and Portal. When I click on them I get an error… [Message: Interface/FrameXML/SpellFlyout.lua line 240:
attempt to call method ‘GetSpellFlyoutDirection’ (a nil value)]
The other spells on the action bar work. If I move these spells to another action bar, they don’t work. But if I open the spell book, I can use them. Frustrating!
At least for me, it has nothing to do with addons as I get it also when running without any addons.
I just put mass dispell in bar 8 and went to edit mode and moved it and now it is unclickable right in the middle of my screen. you can cast from it in edit mode. i win? and it’s no longer clickable in edit mode, btw. and no /reload does nothing and I can’t seem to restore fault
i having the same issue as well on my mages , rogues, and my hunters. The poisons, the call pets and using the teleports / portals work from the book but if i put it out on the action bars they don’t work at all . has anyone found if this is a bug that hasn’t been fixed yet ? i get the same results with and without any add-ons .
I’m having similar issues myself. I generally use the mouse. I’ve had the 1st action bar suddenly get stuck on its second iteration, where I usually store my hearthstone and fishing stuff, preventing me from accessing primary moves. I’ve also had other bars suddenly not accept clicking, including the pet bar, which sometimes moves to overlap with the second action bar, preventing access to either. Any of these are fixed with a reload.
Similar issues here. Partway through dungeons spells will no longer work on my Action Bar 2 mostly. Can’t click them, can’t use my keybindings for them… I would have to open my Spell Book and press them from there. Very inconvenient to constantly have to reload to be able to heal people.
It’s refreshing to know it’s not just me, at least. I hope they fix this before DF drops

Having the similar issue. It’s only hidden bars and only after I go through portals and other minor things I do. I can’t use any spell on bars that I don’t have visible on the screen (stuff is hot keyed to gaming mouse and keys on keyboard) and it won’t work unless I constantly manually reload.
This is cause you are using an addon for your bars - blizzard currently has a bug that all flyouts are not working with any bar addons.
Always the first step to fixing these things is turning off anything that is not blizzard itself, so turn off any and all addons then slowly figure out which addon is breaking stuff by turning them on one at a time.
As of 2 days ago, I’m also having this issue. Not sure if related or not but eclipse animation will also not trigger when action bars are being wonky.
Still getting the same bug every time i enter a DG, need to reload the game or i can’t use any skills, this is so annoying. I’m using blizzard UI, i have Elvui but it is just for the Nameplate
Apsat, I had to remove ElvUI completely. It seems that with ElvUI you either need to use everything or none at all. Meaning, you cannot just use the nameplates and nothing else.
I went with plater for enemy nameplates, and on my healers, I replaced Elvui with Grid… Have not experienced this bug again since then.
This is not solved. It’s all kinds of add-ons, and I don’t use ElvUI. Many different add-ons are glitching, and the chief thing they have in common is Blizzard. My chars are regularly getting killed and missing WQ boss kills cuz “…blocked by Blizzard UI”. Two months and no improvement. I have a macro to /reload, but I shouldn’t need it. And even the macro glitches sometimes.
Same issue, action bar 2 will not work during some dungeons. But will in others. Normal dungeons in Dragonflight. Playing my paladin tank. Several of the dungeons will not let me do any spells on the second row from the bottom of the screen. Then maybe by last boss they will start working. This is very bad as I cannot mitigate some attacks. Hence I’ve been kicked from group. NOT very nice since the keys are not working in the dungeon.
