Action Bar Glow - Enahnce

Hi there,

I realize it’s SL bug fix/crunch time so I’m not sure this feedback is going to get seen. But couldn’t hurt to put it out there. The amount of button glow that happens when you get to 5 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon is really too much visual clutter. I like the glow for procs on individual abilities, but this use causes 4 separate buttons to light up light, both causing confusion and not providing any real meaningful direction as to what to hit, beyond hit something.

I would turn this glow off until 10 stacks (I know 8 is possibly better, but 10 would be more consistent with the way Blizzard’s UI applies this) or disable the glow associated with Maelstrom Weapon entirely. If you’re a big enough geek like me to care, then you probably have the knowledge to find and write a WA to enable it. And currently there seems to be no way to disable it.

Anywho GL in Shadowlands fellow Blue folks

Well, it depends on the situation. Do you need to live? Aoe damage or ST damage.

I greatly prefer this to a cut and dried build-spend rotation.

The game should never “tell you what to do” . Imo.

You’re definitely right that it can be overwhelming to see four different abilities light up at the same time so often, but I’m not sure that delaying the button glow to 8 or 10 stacks is the proper solution on a global basis. Feels like that would be way too confusing for some or even most players who just want to zap things when things are able to be zapped. Definitely a good thing to do, though, for a WeakAura or the like.

It’d probably be a good idea, though, to have an option to disable button glow entirely, yeah. Personally, I’ve gotten used to the button glow, so it doesn’t bother me, but it did take some time. And I’m not sure if I would have been able to get used to the terrible in-game Spell Alerts for enhance if there weren’t an option to disable them completely (thank goodness for that!).

Oh I have no problem with the rotation itself. I’m a big fan of the revamp.
But if we’re going to have something that indicates procs in the game, I’m suggesting they implement it in a manner that actually conveys the intent in a coherent way. As atm it both is too much noise, and not enough useful information.

That’s because the game can’t, and damn well shouldn’t, tell you if you should cast a heal or a damage spell. That’s a player decision. The game shows you what you can choose from, but can’t make the choice. Dunno how much simpler it could really be for you.

Ideally they’d remove the glow altogether for MSW stacks. But barring that not activate it until 10 stacks.

Right now with pooling you can frequently be in a situation where you’ve got a stormbringer proc, a lava lash proc and 4 buttons lit up from being at 5+ MSW stacks. It’s just obnoxious visual clutter on the action bars.

I don’t want it to. I just want my actions bars not to look like the vegas strip.
