The forums have been terrible to use ever since they adopted this layout instead of a traditional forum layout. Blizzard a while ago changed these for the sake of change and no one has liked it. Or rather I should say, neither I nor anyone I know likes it at all.
edit mode for action bars is probably one of the more feature rich frames to the point that i’d complain about it last.
the main issue with them is that you cant flip the order of the buttons so they get laid out sort of like the numpad and i expect most people are used to them the other way around (from their ui mods).
you can remap all your keybindings and move the actions around but it would be way more easier for blizzard to add a flip option.
more than likely i’ll just wait for the ui mods to update and go back to using those because they work they way i want them to work and im not stuck waiting for blizzard to figure out what theyre doing.
dont get me wrong, its progress, its just not very well implemented yet. they should have copied what the ui mods have been doing for years (theres a reason we use them) and not try and re-invent the wheel

Because their order of operation for any and all (unwanted) changes: notice one comment/complaint somewhere on social media → assume everyone wants what the complaint is about → implement the change → tell us we actually wanted it → ignore all further complaints about the change → repeat.

As for the ui editing itself, I’ve come to the conclusion that they just vaguely described Bartender to the person(s) who wrote this change, and this is what we got.
Thank you @ Zephyy! I owe Activision apologies. They really have thought this out (never thought I’d hear myself say that).
Have only ever used ElvUI - was pulling my hair out when confronted with the new default UI, but as it turns out, there’s no need for me to return to ElvUI at all - the new default covers everything I could think of.
Yeah I did this,s and when i entered my first vehicle those button hotkeys were all messed up, and you cant even change those.
