Acrtic Fur drop rate

Is the drop rate of arctic fur broke? I just got done killing 200 mobs levels 77 to 80 (mammoths, jormungars and the ice beasts all in Storm Peaks, and not a single one.

That’s pretty normal, you only really see it with any regularity from skinnable boss mobs in instances. If you’d rather not do that, then you can trade for it at the Fur Trader in Dalaran for 10 Heavy Borean Leather.

I’m just here to say heck yea Wheel of Time is lit!

I actually noticed this today as well when I was skinning. Normally in an hour long session I can walk away with 3-4 Arctic Fur. Today, I was skinning for 2.5 hours, hundreds of mobs, and not a single one dropped. I took a break, then came back for another hour long sessions and still not a single one. Had to have killed around 400 mobs.

I see skinners getting icy dragonscales and arctic furs all the time in dungeon groups.
Dungeons appear to have a much higher drop rate than the open world.

Find out when guilds are doing their toc. Find ones that do not have a skinner.

Pay 15g to walk in, skin the yeti then walk out before you get saved. And it cleans the floor for the next fight.

Easy furs.

That too. Raids pretty much guarantee a drop.
Though not sure if too many guilds don’t already have a designated fur gatherer.

It’s too rare to reliably farm. This is why Blizzard allows you to trade normal leather for it.

Drop rate is a fixed number computer must roll to have an ite. Drop so 1% equates to a 99 roll on a 100 sided dice not 1 per 100 kills. The chance to drop resets every mob

Hand in 10 heavy borean leather and get 1 acrtic fur.
