In statistics pane of the achievement window, Under character, the Gear category has vanished.
This Gear section had a statistic called “Mounts owned” which people were using to know which character had the most mounts, so they knew which character to farm more mounts on for the collection achievements.
I tried in game:
/run print(GetStatistic(339))
This now comes back as False, so it’s not just a UI bug the API is also gone.
A little extra clarification:
Mount journal shows me 422 mounts.
Horde of hoofbeats progress shows 380/400.
I know WHY they are different as per support article 4738. The core problem now is the one way we had to check our real mount count specific to each character has been removed from the UI and the API, making this hard to work around.
Why was this removed? Also why has the mount count been bugged for years? Just fix it already

I think it shows the mount achievement counter, not Mounts owned by a certain character.
Oh yeah. I didn’t see that those cheevos were “Account” achievements even though they have “usable by a single character” in the criteria. If they were “Character” cheevos, they’d probably have the count that is desired.

I used GM powers to log into Eelfarwen and your stats looked fine to me! So it’s some sort of display issue.
Since you already performed an interface reset I won’t ask you to do it again, instead can I ask you to check gaain after the next maintenance?

But the problem still persists, guess I’ll wait for the next server reset.
I too cannot find the Character Gear statistic panel, all I can view is wealth and consumables. Unsure how to fix this issue as I have no addons running, have cleared my cache files etc, so hopefully will be fixed by Tuesday at reset, if not will come post here if it still persists
Still gone after resets as of 20 October. A bit more info. The gear section, as well as the mount count, looks to be missing on the PTR and Beta as well. I’m hoping it’s a bug that’s been overlooked. The statistics tab is by far the most accurate count of mounts we have access to. It really puts a damper on collecting.
The issue still persists as of the reset on October 27th. The statistics section on the achievements tab is still missing the gear drop down. I cannot access any other accurate mount count now that this has been removed.
You’d think the GM would have the game client installed and simply open the Achievement statistics tab and see for themselves before trying to blame the user/addons… zzz

I think I could recite the UI reset link blindfolded from how many community members and copy/paste ticket responses Ive gotten when the 3 issues I’ve had are all client side. Overwhelmed? Understaffed? Both? Or just lazy? IDK

Bump, Nov.2 still not there, still no way to track mount collection
It’s now November 9th, and there still is no sign of these statistic categories. I’m afraid until this gets more attention it will just be gone forever or was not intended but is still unfortunate.
