Sup guys. I’m going to go Ach/Herb since I’ve never done it before and a friend said you can make some good gold with those professions.
I will be spending all day today looking up videos and strats. But, since we’re all friends here on the forums. Anyone have any good advice? =)
hit 60 then lvl them, then grab the flask recipes out of strath and scholo
also you report on your servers discord if someone ninja the recipes and doesnt have the prof bc of value of them out of the gate, itd essentially be like a mage needing on edgies
Greetings!
Herb/Alch are always useful, especially in Classic WoW. I’m not sure how much an effect the new spawn rates will have on the overall gold making but it will be useful. I would recommend using a leveling guide and creating a bank alt to make it easier to organize your mats and time.
Also, fishing pairs really nicely with Alchemy. You can also cook the regular fish to easily max out your cooking which can also make you some gold early in the cycle.
Hope you enjoy your journey, cheers!
Thanks, I fished in classic for the very first time and I actually enjoyed it. I might do it again.
Keep in mind for SoM, they increased certain endgame herb spawns, including Black Lotus. So those strats online that you looked up might not apply as well.
They also made it to where plaguebloom and possibly others have the chance of dropping a Black Lotus.
Yeah, but at least getting to max level will/should be the same.
Yea that should be, also I recommend levelling it while you level, there’s nothing wrong with waiting, but you could make some gold on your way to 60. I did during Classic.
Yeah, I was planning on it. But, depending on how the herd is leveling. I need to be one of the firsts rogues so I can farm Ubrs. lol
Yea fair enough. There will be lots of ubrs runs, I’m sure. I ran that dang place almost everyday for 6 months lol.
Oh, I dont plan on running that place for more then a week. lol
If I dont get the dal’rends in a week. I’ll just pvp w/o out. I guess I can pug Ony, but I’m not sure I want to raid just yet.

Make sure u look up the herbs needed for opening the aq gates and make a bank alt to stash them for turn ins.
As someone who did this on their main in Classic I can say overall it’s not a huge gold maker. Why? LOTS of others competing. You can actually make gold flipping the potion market with a lot less effort.
Unless you are going to spend hours and hours farming the mats for fire prot pots and by doing that you could have just farmed gold somewhere else and flipped fire prot pots on the AH for easier, faster gold.

If you stay ahead of the curve. You can make some serious gold, no? I’m just planning on ach/herb for leveling and making the quick epic mount gold. After that, I’ll probably end up switching to eng/mining.
Herbing is profitable. Alchemy is fun but not terribly profitable. You will find that the mats sell for more than the finished products because others are also trying to level alchemy.
As you level your character, look up the mats needed for swiftness potions and free action potions. You don’t need to make the pots themselves, but the mats (from herbing and fishing) will sell very well as people start doing battlegrounds. A relatively easy way to raise the gold needed for your mounts.

Spot on. Good point, Herbing can be profitable but Alchemy isn’t as profitable as it is useful for you and your friends who are looking to save money by having you make their pots.
However if leveling PvP or Ironman, Herb/Alch is very very useful.
Frostadamus youtube videos…
Find out what herbs your class has no use for and sell them.
I have more fun leveling my trades as I level my toon. I’m usually around level 200 with my trades when I ding 60.
Leveling alchemy while you level has it’s perks. Especially if you’re leveling a toon without a heal.
which is the commonly acceptable thing to do. epic boes are need to sell because they’re worth so much. shouldn’t be that way but it is, you’re not considered a ninja.
