Acer Nitro for WoW

I took the plunge and ordered an Acer Nitro laptop for just a little over $800 so that I can do some of the more mundane stuff in WoW (WQs, assaults, leveling alts, professions, fishing, etc.). Probably could still raid, but I purchased this laptop so that I could play at work, tethered to my mobile phone as the hotspot. With so much downtime at my job, I’d be stupid not to take advantage. Any thoughts?

Acer Nitro 5 - 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS
i5 8300H
8 gigs ram (considering upgrade eventually)
256 SSD (considering upgrade or using SD card slot for additional)
Geforce GTX 1050Ti (4gb GDDR5)

First thing you’ll want to do is populate that empty 2.5" slot with another storage drive. 256 doesn’t get you far.

Otherwise, it will probably be fine hardware-wise. I don’t know how good your connection is going to be with that phone tether, though.

They’re actually not bad. Was in a place with crap internet that would go out once in awhile and had to tether. Usually got sub 100ms pings, and bandwidth wasn’t an issue because 4g-lte was clocking in at like 30 down and 3 up, and just playing wow requires much less then that. Just depends on location.
