Is this supposed to never drop?
I’ve been farming the rares almost all day every day and haven’t seen it once. They need to increase the drop rate imo. To not even get it for a single character is a little unfair.

If it makes you feel better I’m at a good 150 rare kills across my characters and no drop.

They should have really made it a vendor BoP item that cost like 5000 scourgestones or something. I got ONE after like 300 kills while multiboxing 2 accounts (not using software), I press attack on my huter, alt-tab to my druid and attack.
The reported drop rate on Wowhead is down near that of a mount, 1.X%.

I’ve taken a few toons through and haven’t gotten one. My partner got two, so gave one to me that way. RNG will always create a haves and have not system, if there are no fail safes put in.

That’s a good idea. Then by the end if you haven’t got it you can at least buy it. It’s not like the event is particularly good so it’s the least they could do imo.

Nothing, just literally as the name suggest: a keepsake. I just want one for my DK because I like the theme.

I got one after 48 kills.
See this part really annoys me, not so much that you have some, which is an annoyance on it’s own that some people get one after one kill, others have like 10 lying around, but that you have no idea what it even does. Blizzard really let the ball drop on this event.
FYI - It spawns a ghost thing that follow you around for 30 seconds once every few minutes or so.

i just got one tonight. i haven’t been counting kills but i’m under 50 so far.
I know I got one of these… a little worried I vendored it now. I didnt realise it was rare.

You can sell them on the auction house to make some coin. Or give them away and make people happy haha.

Yeh it’s a fun little trinket to, as the namesake says, be a keepsake for doing the event. Same as the Wrath event where you got a Haunted Memento, a… memento for doing the event. Both do the same thing, just the Keepsake is an updated model on the ghost.
It’s really just an item to say “I was here” but sad that it wasn’t a BoP vendor item that we can all work towards getting instead of a random 1% chance from rares only.
