Account Wide Transmog

It would be really great if every piece of loot we received would be added to our transmog tab, regardless if that individual character can use it or not, so that our other characters can without having to go farm it again.

some things show how great one toon you have is or was. I think that your alt can suffice with the heirloom mogs

Yup. Transmog needs a serious loosening overhaul again. Before you had to be the specific level to wear every x-mog, they changed that to per xpacks.

Take off the restrictions for artifact specific apperances. Make all x-mog only have a level requirement for current expansion transmogs.

It’s basic common sense. They want us to level these new characters and races, but make it boring and plain as hell.

They want you to keep running the content, repeatedly with multiple characters. It shows “interest” in older content. It’s like back when you had to collect PvP tokens to buy PvP gear and they required double the amount of Warsong Gulch tokens to buy, so people ran that Battleground more and Blizzard is like, Warsong Gulch is very popular that people love running it twice as much!

Doesn’t ESO do this?

Slightly different, you have to collect the crafting recipe for that appearance and its account wide, but since Armor types are universal as in everyone can wear whatever its a different set of rules. There’s no Heavy Armor only classes for example, you can mix and match Heavy, Medium and Light Armors in any combination you want with any character, so the restriction is pointless.

They just make money by selling crafting recipes that are real money exclusives or very very low drop rate that keeps you farming for a while.

I thought it was account wide for a specific armor type?

Transmog is account wide.

The only ones that aren’t are the special ones that 1 of your toons have done.

It is like this pretty much. Class-specific stuff aside, your plate you have now in your transmog library is available to your Paladin, Warrior, and DK.

The only restriction is level which, I will say, is a little ridiculous given certain cirumstances.

There’s a real epidemic here of people who don’t even bother to read the OP…

I think OP means if he’s on a plate wearer and he loots a BoP leather item, for example, it should be added to transmog.

which is how it was during MoP

*Blizzard wants people farming though.

yesterday i did a blunder…

yha tab is back for sets…
go pay 500 gold each for pants legs and something else…
add it to my tab , Yes I remember the box pop up, but the box popped up when I bought them so…
I don’t even read it as i sell them back at 25 gold each; and removes them from my appearance sets at the same time…
So in order to have the set.
I need to pay 500 each again and hold on to them in a vault somewhere?

Though it would be nice to be able to transmog a nice piece of (insert the three armor classes I can’t equip) on my (whatever armor that can be equipped), I think it should still stand that whatever class can equip it needs to collect it before it’s added.

IMO, so whatever it’s worth.

Ah yes because running an old raid 4 expacs later for tmogs shows how good that 1 character is… not. Once it hits the legacy loot rules it shouldnt matter. Keep the rules we have now for last expac but open it up for any that are older then that

Agreed. I have the unobtainable Alanna’s Embrace on my Paladin. I would love to use it on my Mage, but because reasons; I can’t? Lame, arbitrary, and fills FFXIV’s coffers with more subs from people tired of this kind of nonsense.

No you don’t need to hold onto them, after you buy them just delete them and they will be added to your transmog permanently
