Account wide reputation please

Yes please. The only ones I understand are faction specific reps. So instead of a conversion to the opposite faction equivalent you have to play both factions. I.e. getting the mag har and dark irons.

I know some will disagree with what i said, but i feel you should progress within a faction to gain their faction specific reps.

People do like different things, but something like this is poor game design. We could design a system that still has replay value for you and allow us to bridge the highest rep obtained on a character with alts on our accounts. Giving us that isn’t taking away your content - it’s still there, just the value shifts. Weighing the value of recycled content vs engaging gameplay isn’t clear, but it shouldn’t be a decided matter without some kind of poll and exploration into viable solutions.

I can’t remember if ever I was able to obtain exalted rep gear before a raid or even be worth it once I did hit exalted.

Yup, and it honestly became more apparent when the currency vendor system was subsided in later expansions, that you would realize that grinding for the vendor became more for the possible toys (or transmogs as well) vs seeing a valuable upgrade for your character that you were already investing that time into.

Reputation is only 1 part of the 100 different replay values this game has tho. I am not trying to please people like “Myself” But if I gave you a push lawn mower and had you mow 3 football fields that were very tall, then gave you 15 more push mowers to mow the same 3 football fields even tho the grass has not grown seems odd. You got the job done regardless and now you have to just mow the grass because replayability? this case remowablitliy.

Yes!

All of the exalted rep rewards in BfA are useless to this character and I’m not even exalted with anyone yet.

But they’d be useful to my alt with account-wide rep.

If only a blizzard dev would read this with an open mind and a giving heart

It comes down to what you enjoy - I enjoy developing my character. And really satisfaction can be gained by many things so some people might like all that grass mowing.

I would love this. I work so hard on Reps with my two mains, and to have the rest of my characters, all of whom I love and put a lot of effort into, benefit from the rep-earned profession recipes etc, would be amazing.

(I am always working towards maxing my professions, attaining every recipe I can, and buying now-unattainable recipes/ schematics, plans etc.

Exactly, this has been done before and it has been a good thing.

While we’re at it, how about account-wide gear! And then account-wide inventory! And account-wide buffs! And account-wide quest completion!!! Why have alts at all?! Account-wide EVERYTHING!

Where do you draw the line for account-wide? It has to be drawn somewhere.

you literally draw the line at reputation like this

Rep________everything else

hope that helps

btw there are alot of account wide things ingame and not a single one of them has broken the game yet

You seem to be saying that since you like it this way, despite the larger number of players wanting something else, blizz should make sure that you are happy at everyone else expense. I would counter that, though there are assuredly more people like you and those who would agree with you, it comes down to a numbers game. If more customers want X, then the customers who prefer Y generally get apologized to as a company typically goes with the larger number of customers.

And a lot of those account-wide things were not account-wide at first. So while you’re saying the line should be drawn between rep and everything else, someone else will say the line should be drawn further. Hence my rhetorical question of “Where do you draw the line?”

blizzard has been saying no to this for the last 8 plus years though - so you might not want to hold your breath on this one. It comes down to, do they want to eliminate that much content.

No, that’s exactly the problem. If they are counting the need to get exalted with something as “content” that may need to reevaluate where their resources are going.

Account wide rip absolutely should be a thing.

that is a good use of their resources though - since it costs them basically nothing now. It would cost them a lot to replace that though in order to keep people like me paying them.

It is an archaic system that needs refined. They get rid of everything else we love and stuff QOL down our throat but this one they stick too.

Grinding reputation isn’t character progression. It is an activity, nothing is added to your character, it doesn’t do anything for your character. Talent trees were character progression, old reputations which unlocked rare hard to craft items were character progression but that stuff doesn’t exist.

Back when reputations felt worth grinding. Now they aren’t. They’re gates, nothing more with nothing to offer. By the time I unlocked gear via reputation, it was irrelevant.

i only rep grind on my main. people who grind exalted reps more then once are insane. i cant believe rep still isnt account wide

Grinding reputation isn’t character progression. It is an activity, nothing is added to your character, it doesn’t do anything for your character.

Except it is character progression and it adds the ability to acquire rep-locked items for your character. So… you’re wrong on both.

Talent trees were character progression, old reputations which unlocked rare hard to craft items were character progression but that stuff doesn’t exist.

You literally just said that grinding reputation is not character progression and now you’re saying it is. Those “rare” items you’re referring to were almost all useless. Now it’s gear and recipes, things that actually DO matter. So not only are you contradicting yourself, you’re doing it based on bad information.
