I was wondering can we finally get account wide ignore. Let’s face it some people just will never get along. I would even say a small fraction of people ruin the experience for many people just because they change characters and behave just as poorly. There shoudl be real consequences because at this point it’s hurting the community more getting the message that you have no choice but to be abused or quit the game.

In WoW, when you ignore someone, it blocks all their characters on the same Battle.net account from messaging you. This was added around patch 6.0 (October 2014). Just keep in mind that the ignore list is per character, so if you want to ignore them on all your toons, you gotta add them on each one.
It would be awesome, especially if the list was shared between the forums and the game. Gotta take it to the next level

I have a single person on my ignore list, they’ve been there pushing 10 years easy.
Every now and then I see collateral chatter that they’re still playing.
I am not alone to have that person on my list.

Wish it worked on the forums too and the ignore list was bnet wide not character specific.

I have maybe 5 - 8 people on my ignore list in game – mostly due to foul mouth and comments that are pretty offensive…one started way back like yours 10 or 15 years.
The forums are a way different story. I wish Blizz would add account wide ignore in forums or restrict forum posting to just 1 character only.
Ok a friend had her stalker on ignore but he changed toons and messaged her all day. He was her former guildie yet nothing happened to him. I reported him too. Blizz seems to not care until it cost money. I worry one day something bad will happen in real life from it because stalking is crazy.

How about we go back to the days when you just ignore people and problem solved instead of this “im going to get you banned” crap… ignore works and exists, i dont understand this cancel culture crap… you dont like someone, or they trolled you etc. ignore them and be done with it.
This only works on the same server, not if they are on another sever (for some reason)

There is at least one addon that provides “global ignore” capabilities. It really should be account-wide by default, though.

the ignore feature, only works for your character. Say you ignore person X. Long as you are on your main character, it will ignore that entire accounts worth of characters. However, if you hop on an alt, they can communicate with you.
I use an addon called Global ignore. Sometimes it has issues syncing up but…most of the time it works like a charm, on all alts.
