Account wide gold

No, they really don’t. We have too many accountwide systems as is. Character progression in a rpg is important. SWTOR is a terrible game to basing anything like this on. They barely have any servers, or players for that matter, left.

Hell, account wide reputation wouldn’t be bad either, I know thats been asked for some time.

As some people pointed out, there’d be an issue with it being account wide across servers. Account wide across a single server though would be nice.

I doubt having account wide storage is SWTORs problem. But Blizzard has decided that the RPG portion of this game isn’t important with their latest development. So why not just ‘pull the ripcord’ and put in the other QOL things that players want.

Since most mounts are cross faction, it would be nice to share costs of the more expensive ones. I bet more people would have bought Brutosaurs if each of their factions had to pay 2.5m gold, rather than one footing the entire 5m.

What’s weird is that it’s already kind of a thing.

If you log in and don’t have time on your account the character select screen will have an option to drain gold from all of your characters to purchase a WoW token, attempting to equalize the amount drawn from each of them.

So IDK why not just go the extra step and make it all one lump sum, at least one lump sum per server (and don’t get me started on why we have separate servers)

Should just make it a toggle, those that want it have it, those that don’t, don’t. And server wide, not account wide. Convenience for those that want it, character separation for those that don’t.

SWTOR did a lot of things wrong, but the way inventory and reagents are shared account wide isn’t it.

Final Fantasy XIV doesn’t. Guild Wars 2 doesn’t. Star Wars: The Old Republic doesn’t.

This doesn’t make it less of an rpg. It just makes the economy larger and less vulnerable to being cornered by very very rich players. In fact, removing servers as a whole doesn’t remove the rpg aspects or the community either. Again, it just increases the size.

I’m not as big of a fan of that reagent window as the cargo hold. I had mine maxed out in tabs… I’d like something similar here… I would like a 10 x 20 grid with at least 15 or more tabs that could be purchased and all of my characters could use to craft from.

Edit: Or if they wanted to stay in wow theme let me buy whatever size bag and let me put 7 bags per tab.

server wide? Sure, since all that gold is there on the server and it’d make it easier to access on your characters. account wide would be a total disaster since you could drain gold from one server’s economy onto another (selling things on a low pop server then you use your gold on a high pop)

currencies account wide? yes please. I’m tired of my timewalk badges being spread out over all my characters and the gear from it is so trivial anyway Edit: probably would have to make the 500 TW badge turn-in a limited amount of times to compensate so people don’t just timewalk on 10 toons and power to a mount

This makes no sense. We can send gold between our characters. By your logic we shouldn’t be able to do that, because rpg. Lol your argument is dumb.

No, it’s what that character has earned. Yes, you do run those other characters, however, in a fantasy game, there’s a separation between characters. Why even have more than one character if this is the case ?

I mail gold back and forth between my horde and alliance (on same server) characters all the time. It’s been a thing for a while.
