Seriously it’s been a while… Can we get an official comment on why this hasn’t been made account wide?
Or even having them not be spec locked?

Can you explain power skins, I have never heard that term before in all my life of playing WoW.

the lack of official comment should tell you it isn’t something that is likely to happen.
take a look at MoP challenge mode appearances. been a while there too, it isn’t changing.
Balance of Power hasn’t been removed from the game (as far as I’m aware), so it’s still obtainable on your alts. It’s not even hard, just takes a couple months.

They are account wide. I use them on most of my alts. You don’t even have to get the artifact weapon on your alt. You must be level 110. The only time it doesn’t work is if you did get your artifact and you have it equipped, you can’t mog an artifact weapon.
I’m guessing they’re more referring to doing the whole BoP questline at least once unlocks it for ALL classes, rather than just unlocking it on a class-by-class basis.
I’ve done the questline at least 3 times (Warrior, DK, Paladin; all during Legion)… but yeah, doing it another 9 times to unlock it for every class does start to look a bit absurd.
While I’m doubting it will happen… yeah, it would definitely be nice.

They are talking about the weapon mogs you can earn in legion content. You must do the quests that give you the artifact weapons (there is a chain for all your specs and they unlock as you level). You’ll find the quests in your orderhall. With your artifact weapon equipped you can see the different skins and how to unlock them at the weapon table, your intro quests will lead you to it.
Oh I see. If you have only completed it on lets say a mage, you can use it on all your mages. If you want to use it on a hunter you will have to complete it on a hunter then all your hunters can use it.
Legion was all about class identity, like mage tower these quests show that you can complete the content on that class. They also nerfed the time needed to do the balance of power chain, you can complete this as a 120 in 3-4 weeks.
It doesn’t even take a couple of months
I assume this is about the Legion artifact appearance. I agree, it would be nice to get rid of the spec requirement (Holy has some AWESOME 2 handers that would look great for Ret).
The Balance of Power thing not being account wide was annoying when I went back to finish it on a character that had all the reps, and realized I’d have to grind it on all the alts. That’s just not worth the time for me.

I think not automatically unlocking the appearances for all classes because you have them on one is fine. What isn’t fine IMO thou is having to slog through the all the same non-class specific quests every time, especially the time gated raid drop ones. Doing the class specific content should be enough after the first time.

I’ve done it twice already. If you’ve unlocked the legendary weapon and done balance of power on atleast one Character the skins for it should be unlocked account wide.
