I hadn’t even considered that this would not be an option…

Note : WoW Classic Characters cannot be transferred between accounts.

Oh then they had messed up the transfers notes on patch day…because it had specifically said account to account was available. OP, there’s 3 drop down boxes to choose from on the thread regarding Classic acct transfers. Did you check the drop box that says “select the type of transfer to purchase” & choose Blizzard Acct transfer or World of Warcraft Transfer? (when you got to the page it still says it’s for Classic) & it had in fact, said account to account was available in Classic. The generic Classic acct transfer page does not reflect this for some reason.

Edit: Nevermind they finally updated. “Now” Classic doesn’t have it. They had typoed it then. (I was questioning this yesterday & it got lost in the forums…no Blue responded either…) Blizz, seriously you need to have any communication with us. In all these years, I’ve never seen the community neglected like this communication wise…

Don’t start picking and choosing what classic should have. Paid character transfer in classic should have account transfers as it did in vanilla. It shouldn’t be difficult development wise, it was in vanilla and it’s in retail. Plus it’s more money for Blizzard which is what they want.

Yeah blizzard should allow us to have account to account transfers especially for the same battle.net account. It had less restrictions in vanilla than classic. They allowed it back then. #nochanges

Here’s two different articles from different sources showing how transfers between accounts owned by the same person actually did exist in vanilla, they were added in 2006. They were possible in vanilla and they are possible in retail so to say its impossible is lazy and unprofessional. The fact that Blizzard didn’t even do the research for what was in vanilla before creating classic is astounding. I thought they were trying to “preserve the authenticity” of classic but when they added paid character services and it didn’t have all the same features it did in vanilla, they failed.

Blizzard please fix by adding account transfers to classic.

I call BS on this… the only real reason people are asking for this is so that they can drop the 4 other accounts they used to multi-box power level.

If it was in vanilla it needs to be in classic.

YES for god’s sake please enable this, Blizzard!

In my case, my gf started playing for the first time but created her character on my account, so I can’t play any of my characters with her. Obviously I can start a second account with new characters just to play with her, but I’d rather move her character to a 2nd account so she can play with ALL my characters. ughhh!

Exactly. So what if they want to? We still have the characters. They are ours within our accounts and we could do this in vanilla.
People are only opposed to this because they see this as an advantage to others and a disadvantage to them. Its not a disadvantage if you dont use whats easily available to you :man_shrugging:
“Oh no someone has been power leveling their own characters in instances and wants to consolidate their characters at a later date using a PAID service. I have no intention of doing this myself so this puts me at a severe disadvantage. This shouldnt be allowed!”
How about minding your own business? Getting upset and salty because people want to do what was available to them during vanilla is unnecessary.

I have a simple question for someone in your “situation”… Please explain how you came about having characters on multiple accounts? Nearly every situation I can think of would be a against ToS. So go ahead and give the fake excuse of “i forgot my original email address so i just made a new one and now after getting to 60 I suddenly remember it and want to merge my accounts”.

I have 4 accounts on classic. 1st account has my 60 horde rogue. 2nd account has my horde alts and i run them through dungeons. 3rd account has my alliance rogue on the same server that will be 60 shortly. 4th account will have my alliance alts.
Been doing this same thing on retail for a lot of years and as far as i understand is not breaking any rules.
I pay 4 monthly subs and i personally dont really care if i cant transfer them around my accounts BUT it would be nice if i could (as we have been able to since vanilla). If i level a character on an alt account to 60 and i want to transfer that to one of my “level 60” accounts, then i should be able to (as we have been able to since vanilla).

Thank you for proving my point… you power lvl’d alts using multiple accounts and now you want to move them to the same account so you don’t have to pay for some of the subs… in other words you cheated the system and you want to be rewarded. Also, you weren’t able to do this in vanilla, this sort of thing was only possible once battlenet accounts were a thing and wasn’t during vanilla.

Wrong. As i said, i actually dont care that much if i cant transfer them. Tbh the reason why i’d like the option is more of an ocd thing. If i have another 60 i’d rather it be on the one account.
I’ve been paying for multiple subs for 13 years almost the entire time without a care in the world how much it costs. That’s how little i care about the money side of it :man_shrugging:

Also, does it REALLY matter to you if someone is able to do this? Does it really bother you that much? Honestly lol…

Also wrong. Currently i have 4 active subs. Might actually be 5. Even if i transfered one character from an alt account to another account, i’ll still have multiple characters still on the alt account. I’m still going to have that account sub’d.

Put it this way, im going to be paying for 4 accounts regardless :man_shrugging: i just want the option to move a character if i wish. Im still going to want alts on other accounts to twink them etc so im not wanting to cheat the system like you think i am.
You see this way differently than i do lol but oh well.

+1 , I would pay handsomely for this service. I really need it, in fact.

In my case, my gf got into the game (a dream I never expected to come true) but she leveled her character all the way up on my account. We can’t play together! I’m leveling an alt on a 2nd account, but I really want to play all my original characters with her!

They allowed it in Vanilla. Maybe think a bit before you give a no. My girlfriend played a priest in vanilla. We transferred it to another account shortly before TBC launched.

A. Multi Boxing is within ToS
B. Owning and playing multiple accounts, at the same time or otherwise, is within ToS.
C. Account-to-Account transfer was available in vanilla, I know because I did it.

There’s no reason not to include it. While I personally only have one account now, it is a change from the vanilla system not to include it. People can spend their money as they please within ToS, and all of this falls within it as well as the scope of vanilla.

When will account to account transfers be available for Classic? I currently share my account with my husband and would like to transfer his toons so that we are able to start up his account again to play together without him having to start another toon.
