I am posting this on behalf of my friend and M+ partner. He is unable to post this himself with his account. This is for Jinitonic-Hyjal, Frost mage, and chart topper =] Please help him set this right blizzard.
I grew up with Blizzard games and have been playing all the Blizzard games for almost two decades. Unfortunately, a recent WoW account hack and the support I have received from the GMs have been disastrous and highly unpleasant. Here are a few problematic issues I would like to address:
- There is no contact phone number to customer support for significant issues like hacked characters or unauthorized use of account. That is fine if the ticket response time was reasonable. However, it would take 24 hours for blizzard to respond to every single message on the same ticket.
- There is absolutely no consistency with the support personnel. Every 24 hours, I would receive a response from a new GM in resolving the issue. On the fourth day, I had been in contact by 4 to 5 different GMs. Some of them apparently had no understanding of the whole situation and just closed the ticket abruptly.
- The result of all the lengthy responding time and miscommunications: after four days of exchanges with the GMs, my US account turned into an EU account. I have lost all my blizzard games purchased. Moreover, there was no character recovery. A few hours after my account was converted into an EU account by a careless GM, the account was suspended. I have lost access to respond to the open tickets. Thus, I had to make a new account to establish consistent communication with blizzard support.
In summary, my impressions of the blizzard support team are dull, slow, uncomprehending, inconsistent, and ineffective.
The hackers have stolen my account. Indirectly, they also stripped me away from my WoW friends and community. But it was your futile, insensitive actions that disheartened my trust and enthusiasm towards Blizzard games. Blizzard, do you see your players and supporters? Or do you see us as a collective of $14.99 monthly subscriptions? I strongly urge you to improve this inefficient customer support system—we want to be heard!
I have submitted one more ticket (#US80632887) to summarize the series of communication in the past few days as the last attempt to recover my account. Please let me speak to you. Please save my account of two decades.
