This would likely be more recent than you think. There’s only one issue I can remember where it actually caused problems, but AMD’s anti-lag feature when it first rolled out triggered multiple anti-cheat software with false positives. So many in fact that AMD disabled it in the next driver update after the mass reports of that came in. It has since been re-enabled, but not on by default and the user has to choose to use it. I don’t think it’s caused any issues since that initial release though.
Assuming things are legit with the OP I hope they are able to recover some of their game time lost from this.
