That’s because it’s not as big of a deal as the few players who support it and constantly spam threads about it believe it is. I am also glad that Blizzard is staying true to some of the old ways of the genre instead of making everything easy-access.

If people want to stick to the “old ways” then go play Classic. It’s 2019 not 2009 be my guest if people want to save crabs and play candy crush on 5 toons Blizz can think twice if I’ going to decicate my time to that grind.

They have the numbers we don’t. They just see that more people play more getting them on alts than people who stop.
What I would like though is essences to be account wide 1 rank lower than on your main.
That would give pretty much everyone rank 2 and give a reason to go for rank 4.

I’d be perfectly fine with a more alt friendly system I’m not saying they have to be account wide, but at least more easily obtainable with a main.
id like it better if my alts only had to unlock the rank 1s and it would auto go to rank 3 if u got them on ur main

You’re absolutely right, they should, in exactly the same way the artifact neck ilevel grind is essentially BoA. That is you don’t have to grind to revered for every new character, you get the ilevels for being revered as soon as you hit max level.
The only reason they don’t want to make them account-wide is either because the expansion is nearly over and they don’t care - the problem will solve itself soon enough.
That and they’re not removing a tiresome and obnoxious grind because 8.2.5 had zero content in it, and grinding essences for alts is the only thing there is to do.
I’ve done it on two characters, and honestly can’t be bothered to do it again.
Some of the specs I’d be interested in playing require some of the more annoying essences to be competitive, so it’s a no go
It’s not even that they’re hard to get, it’s just the annoyance of how much time it takes. Might as well use that time to gear up my 2 geared characters, instead of trying to bring an alt up to just a base level of competitiveness
We have at least 10 more months of BFA, in my estimation, but probably more. It’s still far from over, so Blizzard can’t really use that as an excuse IMO.

I’ve only done it once. Essences not being BoA REALLY makes me not want to play those characters. Which is a shame considering that alts (in the form of allied races) are a huge selling point of the expansion.

I’ve mentioned this in the past but I’ll do it again. I’m the raid leader for my guild. We had a full alt Mythic BoD last expansion, two other guilds did - Now, nobody is playing alts.
We had to combine 3 guilds together to field enough players to do an alt run.
I also talk to other guilds, not just the 3 we raided with. They’re in a similar boat. I’m still waiting to see what alts(or main?) you have. You just hang around this thread like a bad smell building strawmans.

Given just how little attention this topic ever gets on the forum it’s rather clear it’s just not a huge issue. I know that the forum represents a small percentage of the playerbase but this just isn’t a very big issue.
My circle doesn’t seem to have that issue. It sounds like you’re surrounding yourself with negative complainers.
Okay, not everyone plays alts, nor does everyone care to go raid. It’s been a common complaint the last couple of expansions that raiding guilds have had to merge. This isn’t an all of a sudden issue.

I didn’t want to be the person who points out you might need to get your eyes checked but you honestly might need to get your eyes checked if you think that this topic gets very little attention.
Sorry where do i get the ability to ignore what the person says then make a statement. We had 3 guilds full of alts, enough to do 3 x 20 Mythic raiding. Then due to people not wanting to play alts (I know this because their mains still play the game and raid we now combine to make 20.

Alright, and it’s been a common theme for the last couple of expansions for raiding guilds having to merge. I hate to be that guy but you also play Alliance, you know as well as anyone else here that Alliance has a much smaller pool of players for endgame content.
