the issue that everyone and their mother is pointing out is having to do this massive grind after the first time, if you want or need to maintain an alt, should you want to not lose out on a massive power increase.
try to provide an argument that is solid into the idea that there is 0 downside to introducing boa essences instead of pointing out useless facts like this

also have you actually done the essence grind ? once, twice or more maybe?

There’s not, just people who are:
- Upset they already did it and all their hard worked time is wasted <- I’m literally a person who did it and I advocate for it
- People who strawman stupid arguments like ‘What’s next, account bound gear?!’
The worst possible outcome is people start playing alts more, I’d rather have that than people just… not playing…

honestly with any sort of power gain this shouldn’t even be a factor, anyone who thinks power gain they make on characters is going to meaningful for long isn’t even playing the same game. If they made Essences BoA it’d Meld in perfectly in with gear catch-up for 8.3

You have my full support as well as that of everyone in my last remaining guild.
The sheer stupidity behind the stuff that anti-BoA-essence people come up with is just mind boggling. Most of them don’t even do any sort of content that would even require gear in every slot, much less essences.
If it’s that big of a deal, Blizz can allow the activation of BoA essences via an NPC (like Mother). That way all these people can do whatever it is they do and the rest of us can get on with our lives and actually do content that we enjoy instead of having to do the same crappy grind 10 times over.

Truly as someone who used to do an entire in-house alt mythic BoD to now going to a alt TeP Mythic combined with two other 2 guilds (both who had their own alt BoD) all you can do is really just cringe.
People don’t to do it, I didn’t either but i did it anyway because of the enjoyment i get out of spending time with people in my guild.

I disagree with this also. A person that gets to grind less on an alt does not devalue the effort a person put on their main. In the same way that getting pathfinder part 1&2 benefits your alts and it does not discredit you obtaining it in the first place.
I know you also disagree with that view but to the person that is advocating it I am directing this comment.

Which essence takes months to complete? Youre playing incorrectly if its taking you that long. The max any essence takes to get to rank 3 is 3 weeks. You can start progressing your gear in those 3 weeks as well.

Just have them be buyable on your alts for those things you can buy azerite pieces or whatever but locked behind the achievements. orwhatever.

I’ve had to unlock essences on alts to get the game to stop nagging me when I log them in.
