Log out of bnet app and log back in it fixed the issue for me
Might want to go ahead and make a post on the customer support forums. They should be able to help you.
i actualy fixed it myself by logging out of the bnet app lol
I tried what you said. Does not work. I went as far as detaching the Auth, reset Auth app, re-attach Auth, log off everything, and re-log in. Still won’t let me edit group finder.
I am having the exact same problem and tried every thing you did and whatever else I could come up with, STILL every time I go to make a group it wants me to setup an Authenticator, sent a ticket to Blizzard, but I bet their response will be to do everything I already have, I feel this whole new system is taken things WAY over the extreme, besides given time the gold farmers WILL find a way around it, they always do >.>
An over-the-top system indeed. Punishing good players because of the bad ads from the gold famers.
Some said it’s because people like us did not enable SMS Account Alerts (under Bnet account: Privacy & Communication). Adding an Auth so you can edit the group finder is a lie. The truth might be that you need to have both an Auth and SMS Account Alerts to edit the group finder.
Yes. That is what I think is going on.
The phone number is now required to even set up the Auth. You will need to set up SMS Protect or whatever they call it now.
That requires a contract cell number in the same country your account is registered in. No number flagged as pre-paid or VOIP.
SMS protection can be disabled from your options menu, it will however force you to use the authenticator every single time you want to log on.
Nope I have both an authenticator and SMS activated and I still cannot edit the group finder details.
I went to communication tab and turned on SMS messages for suspicious logins directly from the battle.net app and then logged out then in and now it works
