So Warcraftpets lets you track your collection, and according to their site I am #1 on Area 52 right now, and #36 overall.
I’m really stoked about this and just wanted to share with someone!

Use more than one site for a better idea of overall rankings. I’d believe the claim for #1 on realm, but be skeptical of the #36 part.
According to wowprogress (which seems to ‘score’ unique lvl 25 pets more than number of unique pets) you’re 6th on realm and #399 US. There are other differences between the 2 sites. Warcraftpets doesn’t count everyone, only those who have signed up to it, so the number 2 on your realm on wowprogress isn’t even on the rankings for warcraftpets - and according to a manual search of the armory, they have 1106 pets collected and would probably slot in at #3.
Looks like if you ‘blue’ a few more of your greens and level the rest of your unique lowbies, you can even take out #1 on the other ranking site too.

where on wowprogress are you seeing pet collection rankings?
Go to the site and input your realm. The default result that comes up is “char ilvl”. The “char ilvl” heading is actually a drop-down menu and “pet score” is about midway down the list of options.

For some reason my Warrior is ranked but not my Paladin? lol
Anyway, she’s 16 on wowprogress for Area 52, and 631 on US
Never even knew wowprogress tracked that info. Very interesting, but also very out of date from my current collection. After getting it to update it bumped me up to #2 on my realm, 32 US and 65 WEST.
Thank you for the info about wowprogress. Gives me another tool to track my progress in the pet game!
Hopefully after I finish leveling my most recent pets it will push me up a bit higher!
edit- just finished leveling my last few pets! #1 Area 52 - #13 US - #34 WEST! Feeling super happy with my collection right now!
Neither site is totally accurate. Both depend on the user either having an account or updating their profile.
WCP has me 11th on the combined servers and WP has me 9th. So a couple of players that have WCP accounts have never updated their profiles on WP.
WP is more likely to track players that are in guilds, since your profile will update if the GM updates the guild. But guildless players would have to do it on their own, so you may be missing some of those.
Anyway, it’s pretty rare if someone with a high level pet collection doesn’t have a WCP account. I think that one is more accurate.
Quite the achievement. Congratulations.
Stormrage US #2, US #11 on wowprogress. WarcraftPets has me at #10 US, so the sites seem similar.
Really really need to get around to getting the pet from Glory of the Tomb raider to bump me up, because the only other obtainable pets I can get require 400 honor level, which is never gonna happen for me…
Not for me.
Do you have to be signed in? I’m just “on the site.” It tells me some very basic info, but nothing about my Pet info.
Are you viewing your profile? Even if you’re not logged in, your profile should be viewable and have details such as realm rank. It should be listed toward the bottom of your profile page (Realm & Rank).

Use this page to search for character, username or just view the ranking list for each server.
@Quint: My reply was to Dakyras, who mentioned Wowprogress. You’re posting a link to Warcraftpets.
So on Wowprogress, I can’t see my score anywhere.
On Warcraftpets, using the link you posted, I can search for my server, and it shows a list that I would be at least #3 if not better… but I’m not registered so it doesn’t show me.
Which at this point is pretty impressive since I’ve done about 15 Island Expeditions. BfA is largely a “pet and toy avalanche under the guise of content” so until I really start farming IEs (vomit) my pet count will suffer a little bit.
But I’m still over 1000. And almost all of my pets are lv25 and Rare quality.
Ah gotcha, my mistake.
For Wowprogress, you need to view the Realm leader board, not your character’s profile. Click on the realm name on your Wowprogress profile and you’ll get a list with the last filter option “Pet Score”. You do not have to be logged in to view it.
If your character doesn’t show up on the list, that means data hasn’t been imported for your toon yet.
I see the leaderboard. It’s not showing me and I definitely should be on that list. But I can’t figure out how to get it to upload my data.
If I put my chr name in the search field, it just loads my chr. I can click the update button there. And it had data 2-3 days old, now it says 10mins old… so it’s current. But it doesn’t show my pet data.
I thought I did something that first time around that showed my pet score like 64000 but I can’t figure out how I did it.
I had the same kind of problem, where the site didn’t show the character I put in, but one of my alts. It was strange.
I tried looking you up on wowprogress and had same troubles you are having - can’t find you. But I did mess around on their site and manually entered you in the internet address bar and got this: ~https://www.wowprogress.com/character/us/hellscream/brocknor/pets~
it doesn’t show your total score though, which I find odd. No worries, copy & paste into excel and use the auto-sum and I get a score of 52714.19 for you.
Checking out your realm on warcraftpets and sorting by “number unique pets owned” and you would come up like 9th (if you were a registered user) with your 1003 pets.
Edit: going back to wowprogress with above data, I found youuuu! You’re under your deathknight at #37.
Edit 2: I’ve since come across another pet rankings site: ~wow-pets.com~ - this one seems better than wowprogress for pet ranking stuff, it also chucks a gold value on your collection if you were wondering how much it was worth. It also seems able to update a character instantly, if you can’t find one, just manually enter them under the “search for character” option and they will appear. The down-side is you don’t know how old some of their character data is, this means the global rankings will get less and less accurate the further down it you browse. (Brocknor-Hellscream data for example hadn’t been updated in a year until I searched ya).
Thanks, Dak! Interesting stuff.
I can’t imagine it’s updated in real-time, but when I first loaded Wow-pets, it said I was 9th on my server… and then like one full second later, it said I was 10th. Regardless, for a guy that’s not doing IEs, I’d call that pretty good.
Other fun data from there:
Total pet value: 12.5M
Most Valuable Pet: Spectral Tiger Cub @470k (I paid ~44k for this in the late-game of Legion! SCORE!!!)
…Ethereal Soul-Trader @352k (I paid ~22k for this in late WoD. SCORE!!)
…Hatespark the Tiny @340k (some guy in Org was ranting about how stupid battle pets were and sold me Hatespark for 10k. It’s all about timing, kiddos!)
Fun stuff! I would love to boost my collection a bit but dear god I hate IEs. ;(
