Some friends and I were finishing up some vault runs last night. After switching from my priest to my pally we got about 5 mins in and realized nobody switched to heal spec. We decided to just see how far we could get for kicks… ended up timing the dungeon with no wipes - all the while giggling and having a great time on Discord. I know for sure we’re not even close to the first ones to do this, and I’m sure people have done this in the +20s, but what made it so fun for us was that it was a happy accident and it made it feel like a new adventure.
What pleasantries have you experienced lately in the game that renewed some enjoyment for you?
Oh for sure we had a lot of tank self heals (DH) and off heals from the dps, was still really difficult for us on the last boss. One of those - by the skin of our teeth kills.
I’ve actually done this in a pug, they got sick of waiting for a healer so we 2-starred PF18-ish (I forget the exact number) with 4 DPS that could offheal. The tank was doing huge pulls and everyone was responsible for keeping themselves alive, it was one of the easiest runs I’ve ever done
Did and timed my first +20 ever this past week, that’s pretty exciting especially considering I’ve enjoyed M+ since it became a thing and just held myself back from anything beyond an 18 or 19 before.
Nearly +2ed an 18 (may have been 19) Halls after one of the DPS left the run after the first boss because he kept dying and was lashing out in shame.
Honestly a fair amount of runs end up that way, with someone leaving and being able to complete in time. It’s always fun when everyone sticks around.
Yesterday we were running a +5 ToP to help gear some new guildies, and our healer had to AFK for like 5 minutes for an emergency. We went and beat the flag boss that has 2 players duel with only my maelstrom proc chain heals. I was admittedly way overgeared for the key level, but it was still very fun.
