Did not see anything that seemed to answer this directly. In SL, I had my main (of course) and a handful of alts to get the other three covenants knocked out. Now, on toons that have bypassed SL content and are level 80 (boost past SL or TW dungeons) If they go back they have access to the city but the the rest is a mix. For some the city is missing all NPCs. Some cannot jump into the maw (get spit back up), those that can get to the Maw do not have to deal with the Eye of the Jailor bit but do deal with everything else (no riding too). Access to later content is also unavailable. Is there a way to unlock everything? I have zero desire to do any real content, just going back to take advantage of the new mog rules.
I’ve looked this up a few times for people. I don’t have any solid answers. It seems to vary depending on how much of SL the alt has done.
For myself, I took a 70 alt straight out of Remix and just opened everything up as something I would do naturally. Maw, Korthia and ZM. Did I have to meet Ve’nari after getting to Oribos? Rescue Baine? Do a few minutes in Korthia to get Maw riding? I don’t even remember what I did - just that I did whatever I would have expected to do, and it didn’t take long enough to require consciousness. I met the various characters and got skips from them without having to slog through much.
Make sure you have Low-Level Quests ticked on in your minimap.
First, you should try talking to Darion Mograine in Stormwind or Orgrimmar. With any luck, he should give you a skip to Oribos. If Darion is not there, you need to change phase. You should be able to do this by Party Sync with a level 10-60 character to move you into the phase where Darion has the quest.
In Oribos, talk to all the heads you can find - Tal-Inara, Darion, Bolvar, Fatescribe Roh-Tahl, the Covenant reps, all of them - hoping to get another skip.
That’s all the advice I have, I’m afraid.
Thanks for the info, it is as far as I have been able to figure out (short cuts). I even went ahead and picked/went to a covenant just to test it out. Still looking into Korthia.
Update: pick up the cheap 60 renown near the flightmaster in Orbidos, then do what needs to be done at the covenant until you are sent back to ex-Lich King 2.0. Can skip things there and then you are a go.
