Accessibility should not have to be earned. Steady flying should be automatically available as an alternative

How else is Lio going to completely decide the narrative?

If anyone they’re upset about had a mind to keep up, people reading would realize no one’s actually trying to take Steady Flight away.

Lots of threads which suggest improvements for the game get a lot of support at first, then turn into a storm of browbeating contrarians. It doesn’t mean the subject should be shut down. Chances are, new people will show up.

This nonsense has been going on for months.
Like you said, it starts out fine. Then the same handful of people derail it and turn it into a crusade of flaming, gaslighting and harassing.

Imo mods should be more aggressive at shutting this nonsense down because it just chases away what would be new people or productive conversation.

Nah uh! You just hate tbc flight and want it removed. Stop trolling. Its clear you just want to remove accessibility from the handicap!
(Sarcasm for the people in the back)

If both of them have their own account and one plays on the other one’s account to help them out in a specific situation, it’s not even account-sharing.

Dragonflying can “access” everything the other can.

You can’t pretend there has been plenty of good faith discussion from your side here either. People like Nayaga were flamed as trolls for not agreeing with the people arguing with them. Not to mention, a lot of people here seem like they get joy out of provoking Lio, when they could just ignore him and talk to people they consider reasonable.

Nayaga’s discussion boiled down to “nuh uh”.

And trying to argue that motion sickness wasn’t solved because it didn’t work for him.

Motion sickness pills aren’t ubiquitous, either, motion sickness is an unusual condition in which severity and treatability vary wildly. In the most extreme cases there is nothing Blizzard can do.

I walked on eggshells with that discussion because the reality is that if you get motion sickness from the updated Skyriding, it’s likely you do from Steady Flight as well.

That makes sense, actually. If Blizzard’s motion sickness options for him, then Blizzard obviously hasn’t solved motion sickness for everyone. Nobody’s saving Blizzard can accommodate every disability on the planet, but if they’ve fallen short on some aspect, people have a right to ask.

So if someone says they don’t get motion sickness from steady flight, why not just believe them?

Frankly I don’t even want to know what kind of disgusting personality it takes to be able to mock and insult people that are handicapped and disabled. You have to be a special kind of screwed up to do that sort of thing and when I get back home I’m going to post the comments that I have again to show exactly what I’m talking about here

These people have not corrected each other when they have said the most atrocious things about disabled players in here

If anyone needs to be banned from this form it’s people who go around mocking disabled and handicapped people

In a vacuum, I might. When it’s conveniently said just in time to support an argument, I won’t.

Absolutely, but that’s not what’s happening here, is it?

People are throwing any disability they can think of at Skyriding and hoping it sticks, when just saying you want Steady Flight on expansion launch is fine and valid.

Again. I am not trying to get Steady Flight removed, and I also agree it should just come out alongside Skyriding.

Unfortunately, Liolang spends their entire day trying to make sure everyone thinks “the other side” is egregiously belligerent.

Frankly what I’m hoping to find out is that all of them in here mocking disabled people are either 12-year-olds or maybe 13-year-olds Max so that I can mentally process the idea itself

Because to sit here thinking that grown adults… especially grown adult men which is probably the bulk of Warcraft players… would sit here mocking and harassing and insulting disabled people is well beyond disgusting.

I really would like to see ages pop up on our posts in our account or something so that we would know hey this is a 12-year-old I’m dealing with so I could at least understand that this is a 12 year old mentality I’m dealing with instead of some 25 to 30 year old grown man literally sitting behind a keyboard mocking and insulting disabled people

Who used actual slurs against the mentally disabled again? Who was tossing out diagnoses like replies?

Which addon is that?

this is just a small sampling of their FOUL comments in here…
They find THIS acceptable…lol…but then cry foul when they are corrected on the behavior

Do you really think Bliz is is “caught in the mud” over the Pathfinder issue? I ask this because from what I’ve seen there has been zero information from them regarding this issue. In fact, that’s was one of the reasons I started for ending my account the other day.

To put a pin in it, Doness, in the post I’m replying to here, they again lump me and Quiver in with Pulemy, and I’m not sure anyone has supported what Pulemy said at all. I explicitly called him a troll, myself.

I’m not the one arguing in bad faith.

I mean you could say this about anyone who asks for accommodations at any time. I was on this forum and saw threads of people asking for an arachnophobia mode. It was filled with people making the same arguments here. “Oh you can’t handle spiders but you can handle x,y,z,” “Go play a different game,” “Blizzard doesn’t need to cater to you,” and other stuff. It’s tiring.

It seems to be happening here, yes.

Again, I don’t know why you can’t just accept that some disabled can’t physically use Skyriding? Do you need to physically switch lives with someone like in that one episode of Spongebob, for you to see?

Here are multiple other players talking about motion sickness issues they have.

The second one is a whole article.

There are a few accessibility options that players can try messing with from the options menu , including adding a focus circle when flying and darkening the surrounding areas, as shown in my above screenshot. I spent several hours researching different settings changes to make and even placed a large, bright light behind my computer monitor. Although the changes helped, they didn’t solve the problem. In Dragonflight , I ultimately resorted to taking Dramamine just to get through the campaign.

No one in here is mocking disabled people except you! You are not trustworthy in any means. You’re even hurting the arguments of people who have issues with skyriding. Also, motion sickness is not a disability.

Asking for accommodations isn’t an argument. I have not told anyone to stop asking for accessibility options.

I have asked that people stop using accessibility as a crutch in arguments about Skyriding.

I haven’t said any of that. And so I stop reading here, you’ve obviously bought into Lio’s garbage. Have a good night.

Today I was trying to explain this whole situation and all the nuances to my sister who has never played a video game in her life. Her fist reaction was that they bullies on the forums are really AI - LOL!!

I think she might have something there since AI is changing our reality, for real.
