How many times now did i earn the right to slow flying? I forgot…… I think by now it’s something that should stick. Like the spells that have been nerfed off my char I keep having to pay to get the same darn thing back.

How do you afk hover above a rare / world boss, quest area with sky riding?
That’s what Shadybolt is referring to, while you’re referring to flying up in the air to set up a glide before you let go of the controls.
It’s a bit snarky to scoff and say they have “no actual arguments” when you purposefully ignore what they are describing and redefine what “afk” means.

Blizzard has made it clear why they keep steady flight in the game, they also said why they favor one style of flying over the other and why they felt they need to use pathfinder on steady flight.
If people agree with it or not, that is just the way it is until Blizzard changes their mind and that wont happen until the next xpac. They are not going to change anything in this one now that its live and clearly working as intended.

My suggestion is to get a gaming mouse. It opens up your world immensely.
I can do pretty much everything with only my right hand.
Should follow your own advice there.

Good point! I walked the whole TWW map and there is so little to actually explore.
I’m in Boralus quite often and still I’m finding things I’ve never noticed before like I did a few days ago. That’s the magic of exploring a zone. Not “fly over it in record speed”.

As Im not going to through 400 posts (especially when half of it is lio ragebait), I didn’t know.
Then its just about configuring your binds.
I have the same mouse too.
One of my middle click right next to the scroll wheel is bound to a mount for super easy mounting and dismounting, the 2nd is tied to auto run lol.
But then with alt and shift, even ctrl. I have well over 40 buttons I can hit just via my mouse. Its amazing.

lol…theres still a lot of classic era content I havent really explored given how late I started playing the game.
which skyriding is great for blowing past everthing if thats the objective.
IF Im actually in exploring mode, give me steady flight any day
