Accessibility option: small numbers

I have millions of health and my damage numbers are 6 figures. It would be great to get a smaller numbers accessibility option to divide everything by 1k or 10k across the board (health, damage, stat numbers) that way the numbers can be quickly parsed and damage numbers don’t need commas or truncated “100K” numbers. I’d like to see numbers in the range of 1K-100K instead, or even 100-10k.

thats not an accessibility issue, unless maybe you have a fear of large numbers…

Arithmophobia is fear of numbers. How about Megarithmophobia for fear of large numbers?

I’ve discovered my fears change over time. Spiders, crabs, and math with large numbers. To me it would make it more easily readable. And I know from my job, corporate is obsessed with accessibility, the bane of every developer’s existence. If it’s an accessibility option that’s tied to money, it’ll be implemented yesterday.

Used to hate math, really love it now, and TBH I agree with this. It’d just be easier to compute the actual numbers. Just throw up a 3.604 M up there as opposed to 3,604 K, for example.

I’d rather numbers be abbreviated. 100, 1k, 1m.

Wait until the end of the expansion and they do another stat squish for Midnight.

Some times they use “u” for a million. The reason being that “m” stands for a thousand in the Roman Number system.

Specifically, “m” is a thousand while “k” is 1024 or 2 to the 10th power.

All numbers are made up.

we are several stat squishes in.

i had 10mil hp back in Antorus, half a decade ago. I’d be over a trillion without squish.

There was a post on reddit the other day about someone using the Nameplate Scrolling Combat Text addon and then lopping off the truncated letter using one of the addon’s options. Result was much smaller-looking damage numbers (70 instead of 70k).
