I’ve browsed multiple solutions here and haven’t been able to log into WoW. I can’t get to character selection, I always get the ACCESS_VIOLATION error before getting there.
The steps I’ve taken so far are in this order:
Reinstalled wow
Deleted add ons
Reset in game settings
Rolled back GPU driver
Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay
Try disabling your Game Bar under Gaming.
Disabling the Xbox Game Bar through settings:
- Open Settings: Press the Windows key + I or go to the Start Menu and select Settings.
- Go to Gaming: Click on “Gaming” in the left-hand menu.
- Disable the Game Bar: Toggle the switch next to “Xbox Game Bar” to the off position.
- Disable Controller Activation: You can also disable the Game Bar from opening when you plug in a controller by toggling off the “Allow your controller to open Game Bar” switch within the Gaming settings.
- Disable Game Mode (optional): You can also disable Game Mode, which can also impact the Game Bar, by toggling it off in the Gaming settings, according to wikiHow.
