Access violation

Hello,

I am writing because I have been receiving constant Access Violations with various codes causing my game to crash. For instance, the code appears with the following unexpected error with a code for support. A1AD6FDE-F30C-47A8-B831-F000AEAD8366

When I submitted a tech support ticket they stated to either run a scan and repair, reinstall or reach out to the forums for assistance. “Small indie company” amirite.

the referenced code shows up as (0x00007ff6ee339ba0) the memory could not be read
Process ID 5856
Thread ID 7784

Now when this began happening I sent my computer to a PC tech place. I also requested they upgrade various parts of my system. I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 and changed my SSD to an MV board. I also upgraded my GPU and my RAM to 64 gigs from 16 gigs.

Originally, I was thinking that it was a problem with the physical RAM that I ordered like maybe it was damaged. After checking here it appears that this is an issue that has been occurring for many others.

I have updated my GPU drivers and check daily for updates. I check for updates from windows daily. I have ran the scan and repair option multiple times and even did a complete reinstall of WoW. The only thing the Tech place has been able to suggest is a reinstall of the OS. The issue happens mostly when I have two clients of WoW open at the same time but also occurs when running just one. None of these issues happened before I messed with my computer in the first place.

System Specs:
Intel(R) Core™ i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz, 3696 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
RAM 64 Gig
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
OS Windows 11

The code tool, for that crash code you sent is no longer available. A dxdiag might be needed.

I’m not sure what drive you upgraded to, but if that problem started with this upgrade, then unfortunately I’d recommend having the tech double check.

You’re not overclocking, maybe check voltages.

In each of the tabs of the dxdiag it basically states no problems found as I cycled through each tab. Not really sure what im looking for.

I could post that here if that would provide you some insight. Not sure how to do that without having a giant wall of text tho.

Sorry Computers def not my thing lol

The graphic interface for DxDiag doesn’t report past errors, only an ongoing error. You have to export it through the menu to see the errors.

That said, the DxDiag isn’t going to help in this case. I agree with Kozzae, if the problem started with a new drive, then you know the cause, so there’s no reason to keep troubleshooting other hardware/drivers.

So are your suggesting that I just reinstall the OS? Or do I need to replace the Hardware? (ie the MV board, RAM, and or GPU)

If you already paid a tech service to figure out this problem and the problem remains, I would probably revisit the issue with them.

Thats the damn problem, they havent been able to figure it out and its really frustrating to me. They said to me that the only other thing they could think of was reinstalling the OS. SO thats why i was coming here to see if anyone else was able to help. Maybe i just need to go to another Tech idk.

I run an m.2 2280 NVMe for my OS/computer programs and I run a separate SSD for all my games (These are storage drives which hold data). I want to say they put an NVMe into your computer for your drive which is the M.2.

If you just got a new storage drive then the OS was just installed. If they suggest another install they did something wrong to begin with. You spent all that money upgrading I would take it back and force them to fix it for you until it works to be honest.
