Access Violation

Am getting an Access Violation error, ever since the expansion had its early release. Have ran the Blizz Scan to check and update the game, and had no issues on it. Have removed any mods that were listed as “Possible Corrupted”, and still am having errors. They are really random. Sometimes during flying, sometimes during a delve, somtimes doing nothing and going afk. Here is my DXDiag. Any information and help is GREATLY appreciated!

NOTE FFXIV on the Highest settings, runs perfectly, so does PalWorld, and a few other games that I play.

I have been having the same issue and I have no idea what is causing it.

  1. Fault bucket 1454484002774726717, type 5

  2. Event Name: RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64

  3. Response: Not available

  4. Cab Id: 0

  • Problem signature:
  1. P1: ffxiv_dx11.exe

There are other errors at the bottom of the file. Chrome as well as NortonSecurity.exe and others have crashed.
Even blue screened on memory testing.

Wow was not listed… But.

The over clocking by default by intel i9 14xxx is a known issue… Bad cores.

Out of curiosity, are you using the APR addon? Some people n game have mentioned seems to cause issues with certain functions turned on. I’m testing it out to see if that’s the cause or not. The problem is, I was having the same issues with the addons off.

I dont even know what the APR addon is.

I have ELVUI

and the big wigs and some other basic stuff running

I’ve not been kicked out of that game. So if there is an issue, it’s bnot affecting the game itself. The only crash I’ve had, was a DC, but my partner crashed at the same time, and both of our wifi symbols showed no connection for a brief moment. Aside from that, I’ve been able to play the game, and leave it idle for hours on end, with no dc or boots.

The suggestions below are unlikely to help i9 CPU owners (you will need to disable SpeedStep + SureStep + overclocks with the tuning utility due to a problem Intel created).

  • Set render scale to 100%
  • In Graphics → Compatibility settings:
    • Disable Advanced Work Submit
    • Disable Optional GPU Features
