Access Violation using an AMD processor on pretty new computer

I was doing an timewalking dungeon with some friends and got disconnected then when I try to get back online I get an ACCESS_VIOLATION with the “memory could not be ‘written’”.

I am using an AMD Processor and I bought the premade computer in late November. I’ve done research and tried to try and fix the issue but can’t seem to figure out what is going on. I’ve run DxDiag and here is the result

Thank you for any help you can provide!!

Hi, I am having the same issue. Here is my Pastebin.

I too am having the same issue, i am going to try and make sure that i have everything updated, mb bios, etc, and if that doesn’t work, im looking at a complete windows reinstall and install of WoW……if you find anything that works, pls post!!

I just had my wow reinstall overnight, which did not fix the problem.

Try seeing if your Game Bar is turned off. This is related to X-Box app. From the start menu type game bar.

I’m seeing memory leaks in a few programs, not just wow. Maybe run the windows memory diagnostic. Also from start menu, typing that will bring up the program. Will require a reboot, and takes a while to run.

Also I think your Nvidia driver is up to date, but it was pointing at a driver issue.

Sorry, had to run the google bot to double check.

Here are some recommendations:

  1. Update Nvidia drivers: Check for and install the latest Nvidia driver updates from the manufacturer’s website.
  2. Monitor resource usage: Use Task Manager to monitor memory usage by applications and identify if any are using excessive memory.
  3. Update applications: Update Microsoft Edge, Chrome, and StarCraft to the latest versions.
  4. Run System File Checker: Run the System File Checker (SFC) tool to check for and repair corrupted system files. You can run SFC by opening a command prompt as administrator and typing sfc /scannow.

If the problems persist, consider consulting a technician or contacting Microsoft or Nvidia support for further assistance.

Not seeing anything in the crash bucket, oddly enough you both are running 4060 graphic cards.

Just the basics then on overlays.

And standard trouble shooting.

You are installing in the program files directory, or a different folder?

Hello, i had this issue as stated above, as of now i dont know what caused it, but i do have it fixed. I double checked all of my drivers, and MB bios version, and made sure they were all updated, which did not fix my problem, i ended up doing a full windows reinstall/reset, and reinstall of WoW. As of now, as i type this, Wow is running, and i am able to play the game. But, still not sure what caused it. Im blaming blizz tbh, it was working fine one day, next day i pull up bnet, it downloads some small patch, a few megabytes, and all of a sudden im getting access violation, and cant log in beyond char selection screen. If you try what i did, i hope it works for you. Good luck.
If you ever do find out what causes it, pls post it here! ty!

Is your bios and all chipset drivers, graphics card ect up to date?

uhm, i think it depends on what you select, but i did go for a full reset, so yea i lost everything. I did backup a few things that i didnt want to lose, but otherwise, yea, all my apps, etc, everything gone.

I think that means it’s a problem on your pc and not a blizzard issue, is your bios up to date have you got all the latest software updates for everything on your system?
