I’m a pet collector and I never finished Shadowlands because I had to take time off to fight a bout of cancer. My current main is an 80 BM hunter and I’d like to access both The Maw and Zereth Mortis to collect the pets running around in these zones. Any suggestions as to how I go about getting into these zones?

Make sure you have Trivial Quests turned on.
On the character in question, please copy and paste a script into the chat box. A True (reposting this here as well)
The quest has different IDs based on the class of your character. On the WoWhead page, please click on the appropriate class in the table of them near the bottom. On that page, half way down the page will be a long chat string/script that you can use to see if it’s done. Hope that made sense!
This is the quest directly before the one you think you should be on. If it’s false, see if you can pick this one up.
the string is as follows:
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(60229))
this returns as true. the next quest in the line is “All An Aspirant Can Do” which is:
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(58174))
This returns as false and the quest giver is not present at the location as reported on wowhead. so I’m stuck on that chain.
I’ll try the suggested quest character and see if I can pick that up.
I just looked up the suggested quest character on wowhead and There are 6 possible responses on wowhead for “Kindred Spirits” and 10 options for Kalisthene.
Let me ask this then.
Simply, How do I access The Maw?;
How do I access Zereth Mortis?
Can you post the name of the character you’re having problems with?
What other Shadowlands quests do you currently have in your log. Kleia/the area might be phased for another quest at the moment.
As for the maw, I’m unsure what exactly you mean by that. You’ve already done some stuff there since you are in the Shadowlands. Do you know where you left off there? Most quest lines go thru Ven’ari near where you drop down.
Did you make sure that trivial quests are being tracked?
Ok, this is going nowhere. I had to quit Shadowlands due to a bout with cancer. I am currently playing on a boosted character who has never done Shadowlands but has access to the 4 major islands. the character is:
Atadistance: Lightbringer.
I need to know how to access both The Maw and Zereth Mortis with a boosted character.
I click on both Tal-Inara and Bolvar Fordragon and get no dialogue box. Please explain to me exactly who I need to talk to to initiate access to these zones and where they are located.
Sorry, you said you had already done parts of Shadowlands, I assumed you were trying to continue from where you had left off.
Currently characters that never did it, cannot access Shadowlands. It is said it will be fixed in the next patch that comes out.
So currently your options are to pick up where you left off on the older toon or simply wait for the fix.

Edit: you could try and see if a friend or two can summon you to Zerith Mortis raid teleport. I think you get booted out of the maw if you try that but unsure about Zerith Mortis.
Ok, I went back to my older toon and got the questline to enter Revendreth. I rediscovered the chamberlaine and heard Nadija <sp?> say something about new story, new body (or something), but then the story deadends. What do I do next? I’ve got no subsequent questline. (please include the Coords for the next step in the series.)
BTW I’m currently accompanied by The Chamberlain and Cudgelface if that means anything.
I don’t have the name of your older character so I can’t pull it up directly. Try going to Wowheads quest tracker and looking up the character.
It’s been a long time since I did Shadowlands and your description doesn’t ring a bell. If it’s a main questline then the quest should appear on the map. Double check this charcater to see if it has Trivial Quests turned on, it’s off by default.
While I dont use this addon personally, lots of people get use out of BTW Quests addon. If nothing else it should help point you in the right direction.

Now that I’m progressing through the campaign, How far must I go to access the maw? How far must I go to access Zereth Mortis? My goal is to collect the battle pets in both of these zones.
