Abysmal FPS issues

I had no issues last night, and yet logging in today my FPS have gone from 100+ so 4…
I’ve run a scan/repair, updated my drivers, and rebooted everything possible. Still no improvement. Blizzard get spiked again??

If you perform a full UI reset, does the issue persist?
Do you recall if anything changed between last night and today?

You may want to poke in Tech Support. FPS drops like you’ve identified generally indicate hardware, drivers, local configuration, or add-ons.

Nothing’s changed. I only updated my graphics driver AFTER the issue came up. Everything else is status quo too. There’s nothing I can see that would have changed or caused this issue from my end.

We can’t help very well without diagnostic test data. Please add your DxDiag.

Pretty sure that’s the issue.

It looks like you don’t have any graphics drivers installed at all. Start there.

Update: my drivers are all up to date and not showing errors, but the game is still only putting out 4-8 FPS.

There seems to be an issue with the system picking up the GPU drivers, though. Because of that, I recommend removing them with Display Driver Uninstaller and starting with a nice, fresh install.

I looked at that program. You have to pay for it though…

You may have looked at the wrong app. DDU is freeware.

UPDATE: Finally managed to get it all done as you said last night. Took quite a few restarts, as you can only uninstall one driver at a time, but I got 'er figured out. Everything seems to be good now. Near as I can figure one or both drives may have had corrupted files (registry or otherwise) and that Uninstaller tool was strips EVERYTHING off your system. I’ll keep an eye on things, but had better not be a reoccurring thing with Microsoft updates automatically updating BIOS files too…

Thanks all for the input. Glad to have a community like this to rely on for support of this nature!

Glad to hear it’s working.
