Absolutely Disgusting

That Shadowfury has a cast time. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Why do I remember it not having a cast time? lmao

Shadowfury has always had a cast time. It even has one in Retail.

You’re probably thinking of WOTLK where it doesn’t. Honestly I don’t even remember having shadowfury in tbc I was surprised even seeing it in the talents when I made a lock the first TBCC

Actually I looked it up, the cast time was removed pre-patch Wotlk.

So no, it doesn’t always have a cast time.

Yeah last time I played BC was when I was younger and I don’t ever remember using it until Wotlk, which makes sense why I remember it not having one.

Always remember being mobile in duels n such.

What’s Shadowfury? It sounds like a Warlock ability. I haven’t touched a warlock in a long time.

bro, avenger’s shield has a cast time. please relax.

Destro PvP in TBC isn’t exactly a popular spec AFAIK. Really only as a good nuking spec for BGs where you can sit in the back in the middle of a chaotic fight. Probably wasn’t terrible for 1v1s either (I remember drakedog vids) but for actual competitive PvP everyone was SL/SL.

Point being is you probably just misremember when you were playing it because Destro PvP really comes into its prime in WoTLK and Cataclysm when it becomes tankier, has reasonably good CC, and has crazy burst power. I actually just went to look this back up, I guess WoTLK is when VW Sac is when it stopped killing the VW PLUS you could get SL. I remember running around in BGs and being able to do shutdowns on a lot of players because you could shadowfury into a fear into a nuke and then into death coil back into a fear. And if the fight did drag out long enough you’d circle back into another shadowfury.

I also remember WoTLK nerfing Conflag specifically because it was busted for PvP burst. The conflag we have for Classic is the post-nerf version where its damage is broken up into some instant damage and the second part as a DoT so as to reign it in for PvP but not impact PvE performance.

Man the beta was so much fun with so much crazy stuff. Chaos bolt use to also go through pally bubbles and mage blocks. Had so much fun testing this stuff out.

Doesn’t it go through that kind of stuff until Cata or MoP? I know they removed it eventually, but I haven’t PvP’d in any actual capacity 0since like OG Classic launch, and that’s still kind of pushing it.

It got changed for release it just goes through shields like priest shields and stuff in wotlk now.

But it use to hit WAY harder and go through any and all immune defensives.
