So, did Thrall re-roll Warrior or what? He using abilities like 2H axe, Taunt, and Avatar in the intro quests of Shadowlands. Such a spiteful slap in the face to Shamans from Blizzard lol.
At one point he even saids “Finally, a weapon fit for a true Warrior!” XD

He’s been one ever since WoD, from my understanding. He was also one before he was a Shaman, way back in the internment camp days.

I thought the elementals left him in legion, now he’s just a warrior right?
Pretty much. Blizz has all but straight up confirmed it. I’m thinking they havent came out saying anything along those lines because 1: characters arnt exactly set in stone classes in lore, they can be multiple or change based off what the story wants, and 2: they might want to make him a shaman again at some point.

I’m about to do the same topic
All the warriors keep dying so someone had to reroll warrior.
Varian
Garrosh
It just goes to show. When being a shaman gets to hard you can always be a warrior.

Saurfang was a Warrior too… Wait, is this going to be like a Harry Potter Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher thing? Is Thrall going to die?!

Not only did he re roll as a warrior , he is a terrible warrior . Jaina pretty much carries him and everyone else in the Maw intro . Thrall is so bad that we even need to find a weapon for him after he does his version of the Shattering Throw but the weapon does not return

Hopefully he will soon be back to his super shaman self leaving his bumbling warrior act behind.

Thrall taunts now. He kept taunting things out of aoe I was using. He was the worst shaman, and he’s still the worst whatever he is now.
Yeah it threw me off (just hit 60 on another toon), I kept wondering why he was whirlwind-ing around. Then I remembered, didn’t he say something in Legion during the doomhammer quest about the elements leaving him after he 360noscoped Garrosh? Bit foggy on the details
Thrall is a joke.
“this bow is too heavy for me”
“i dont know how to use a sword”
Like really Thrall. Just stay in the cave and make sandwiches then.

I’m going to say yes. Thrall could very well be dying soon. Metzen is not exactly on the best of terms with Blizzard.
The Elements left Thrall when he cheated in the Mok’Gorah against Garrosh.
When you rescue him from Torghast he calls to the elements and don’t they answer? He like lightnings the 3 enemies holding him up.
How did he cheat? It’s been a minute so I don’t remember exactly the specific dialogue between the two when they set up the challenge, but using weapons, armor, and magic is not generally forbidden in a Mok’Gorah. Apparently the only consistent rule has been that if you drop your weapon, you can’t pick it back up. Otherwise the rules are supposed to be declared prior to the fight.

//
The rules of a Mak’gora seem to be different between each Mak’gora since they are chosen and set by the participants themselves. Generally, there are thus no specific rules. There are only two consistent themes in all Mak’gora: once dropped, a weapon cannot be retrieved by either opponent and that the pair must fight to the death or until submission. Magic, for example, has never been stated to be forbidden, and has, in fact, been used in multiple Mak’gora duels and thus seems to be permitted. Similarly, many Mak’gora duels have involved both fighters wearing body armor as well, but it can also be forbidden when explicitly required.
