If this is going to make life harder for BOTs that make gold and destroy the game’s internal market - as a result, will mounts that cost 2M or 5M get cheaper or is there no chance of that happening?

There’s no chance they’ll get any cheaper. The damage to the market has already been done. Those mounts are already supposed to be rare as it is, and Gold is still plenty acquireable these days even without bots in the mix.

The most of the damage this will do is to various resources for crafting. That’ll hurt on pretty much any server as a result of less bots.

I am honestly having trouble getting it without grinding so much (I don’t agree to make wow a job) and without “farming” AH

How exactly will this affect bots? Bots were a thing long before wow tokens even existed…

In my case, I make several ten thousand a week if I want just by farming old raids and selling off gear and loot to vendors. And that’s just one character. If I wanted to no-life, I can probably make a million per month or something.

This isn’t gonna do anything about the bots. They have more gold than anyone else, lol. They are probably subbed for years at this point.

Even if they didn’t, disposable accounts using stolen bank info are absolutely rife among botters and farmers - I severely doubt they’d have an issue getting on the game.

This is kind of like DRM; it’s done in the spirit of making things less convenient for pirates (botters), but all it really does is make things less convenient for the paying customer.

This changes nothing for botters…

I think Blizzard plans to ban bots right after they purchase 60 days of game time.
