No, sorry. I agree. I was just clarifying a thing for others to see and understand something it seems we often forget-
We’re not “self-curating” as someone else said up above. We’re not “self-policing” as many in this thread have said.
This is a forum.
On a website.
Owned by a company.
That has a ToS we all agreed to.
This isn’t a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where we all have to create our own laws and enforce them. But for some reason, some people think that’s what we’re here to do. I don’t get it.
Anyway, we have overlords, and boy do they overlord. Those overlords have rules we must follow. Well, rules most of us must follow…
EDIT: I’ve also just noticed, oddly, that this post somehow LOST 600 views. It was at 1.4k (I see numbers, I remember numbers. It’s not a vanity thing, honestly. Though, that statement won’t be believed. Oh, well) last time I looked at it, a day or two ago, now it’s at 800and some views. That’s strange!

Been false flagged for merely posting my opinion.
Blizz needs to do something about the false flagging. Too many triggered people abusing it.

People false flag any post about Asmongold it seems
Those are false flags. That’s just a conspiracy theory.
Well they did get you these new forums.
Glibness aside though, it is a little dodgy to extol the virtues of reasoned discussion and replying with dissent rather than silently silencing a poster and then turn around a silently edit a post to be more agreeable.
That was a mod that did that though, not the company themselves. And they have guidelines that direct them to frown on the use of the company name thusly.
Maybe you weren’t aware of that.
Still, its pretty bad optics on the administrations side. They want you to behave, just don’t behave like them.

I think this problem would go away if they brought back down votes. Flags should be reserved for when people are trolling, harassing, threatening people, or when someone is personally attacking another poster.
I know unless one or more of those criteria is being met I will not flag.

I was not.
Indeed. Where else have we seen something like this, recently? Hmmm… I’ll have to think on that.
The original forums were the best because 1) No downvoting… people could have an opinion all their own without people burying it for no other reason than they disagree. 2) No upvoting… It’s sad when you see a pure insult post with a whole bunch of hearts next to it. Granted, it’s likely that it was from that persons own alts but not everyone does that. 3) You could type in why you reported a post. Sometimes, it doesn’t stick right out but a quick blurb helps the moderator understand. 4) Trolls were actually banned, not given licenses.
