So the Anniversary event ends today, effectively, but I notice they are included as part of quest rewards for Siren Isle. Would this suggest that vendors will still be available after the event finalises?
Would be a bit odd to get a currency from ongoing quests that cannot be used for anything.
EDIT: News release just out, there will be a conversion.
If you have any remaining tokens, now is the time to exchange them for Timewarped Badges or any remaining Anniversary items you may want to collect. Once the event ends, these tokens will no longer be usable, and we have no plans to use them in a future Anniversary event, so donât miss your chance to cash them in.
My understanding is that they just wonât be rewarding them for those quests anymore.
Itâs just like the TWW weeklies in the Khaz Algar zones that have those tokens added to them once per warband when the event started. Those likely wonât be awarded anymore either.
Now of course, I wouldnât be surprised if there is a âbugâ that leaves some of those in for some quests for a bit, but eventually, theyâll get fixed and the tokens removed, Iâd suspect.
There is an article telling you exactly when it ends, and how to spend them before they go away. Check the vendors at the event, then see the Historian to change them into Timewalking Badges that you can use for other rewards all year.
Was about to say this. I spent the last of mine today on trivial items since the currency goes away with the event. Also avoided doing content with the currency involved today just for that reason.
I was away for a week when this ended now Iâm sitting on a bunch of useless currency I couldâve at least turned into time walking tokens. Wtf didnât they just convert them automatically at the end of the event or at least keep the vendors around and stop awarding the tokens.
They would have to move five vendors to somewhere else and code an automatic conversionâ and thatâs why they gave us ample warning, because they werenât going to do that.
