One thing I really dislike with name changes. Almost all of my characters are randomly named. I suck at names.
Whenever I get a name change I don’t get the option to randomize it anymore lol. I have to go to some third party fantasy naming website.
Can we get the randomize button so I have a slight clue how to properly name a Draenei or an Orc?
This is already a feature.
Randomize feature on renames is there already? I’ve always had to do it manually.
The last I recall, but maybe that’s changed or I wasn’t paying attention. Could have sworn you could. A good suggestion if it isn’t in the game already.
I get it whenever I transfer and someone already has my toons name. So then I’m left with to my own devices on the forced rename.
Maybe the paid thing is different.

Just have it be like the restore deleted character thing you can do it once every x day or something.
The only way i can see a barbershop name change working is if you have the option to have a secondary name. Meaning you have a name you can pick for your Male customization and second name for Female customization. Meaning you were stuck with those 2 names and could toggle ONLY between those 2 in the barbershop.

I am 100% against having name changes be something easily done. I am still trying to wrap my head around the magic these barbers most have. I mean you walk in and ask for a little off the top and to change your sex from male to female?!?

The name thing won’t be possible from a software standpoint etc…I’m sure but I support it if there’s a way. That said glad I chose gender neutral names for all my too a aside from this forum character.

If we had closed servers like we used to I would agree. It would allow known schmucks easy ways to hide. Sadly it is a rare day I actually see someone from my server while playing I don’t see what harm making it a hair easier.
I really like Thormus’ idea of giving you an option for a secondary name that you can toggle between.
