Im in love with enhancement shaman, and im trying to learn this beautiful class, and i wanna know if Fire Nova is competitively viable? Its a very nice buttom to press, much better than Ice Strike + Ice Shock with Hailstorm in my opinion.

On topic, I believe in season 2 of DF perhaps there was a Fire Nova build but it was incredibly weak ST.

No offense haha. Fire Nova is cool and can blast in AoE but I don’t think it is viable. Feel free to play with it though!!
Fire nova was super fun in WoD. Today…. Is ‘nerfed into Oblivion’ an adequate label?
I am also a Fire Nova enjoyer but it’s a little weaker right now. I can pull 475K on the dummies with storm build but over 550K using elementalist build. You should be ok to level with it and start gearing, see how it is before raid comes out maybe they will buff it.
With stormbringer and using the SS build, it’s pretty good. It’s flame strike dmg now so it gets amped by frostwitch and baseline wolves. It’s better in that build than hailstorm at least especially for the MSW gen. But in AOE/cleave elementalist build is ahead of SS build

Since fire nova is physical and fire (flame strike)
Anything that buffs physical also buffs fire nova, and it’s uncapped aoe essentially, up to six targets per nova but … it increases your damage for every target that you fire nova from because each of those have a 6 target cap and the aoes usually overlap.
It’s excellent and quite satisfying to pull off. Doenst require a ton of setup just flame shock a target. Lava lash and boom boom
