Can we please have Devastator as an optional talent? Honestly not a fan of being forced to take it every time it scoots in the way of better talents. In War Within, it felt somewhat okay because we still got to rely on Slam as a single-target filler/spender, but now that Revenge replaces Slam, the rotation broke. Spamming Revenge until Shield Slam procs or Thunder Clap is off cd is what I’m used to for multi-target, but for single-target or bosses, it feels a little braindead.
Edit: I understand the topic might’ve gone in another direction due to the latter half of my post. The point is “If you like Devastator, great, if you don’t like Devastator, also great. Just please don’t lock anything behind it.”
As opposed to an additional braindead bloat keybind that you would spam when shield slam and thunderclap are on cooldown?
The fun of prot warrior is that they are not always gcd locked and you’ve got the choice of how you want to spend your rage through more damage with revenge or more defense with ignore pain.
Also to correct you, no good warriors ever used slam over revenge in any situation during TWW.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no tank expert, but I’m fairly certain that Slam wasn’t used by Protection in The War Within anyway: you still prioritized Shield Slam, Thunder Clap, and Revenge.
Revenge replaces Slam just to make it more clear that Protection isn’t supposed to use the spell beyond L13.

Kind of surprised this isn’t something they’ve done even if it was…not good. 
I think the noob island intro had people using slam before you got any other buttons, but yeah, truly terrible button.
Also very niche bit of information but it was worth using in PvP sometimes because it had a large modifier meant for Arms. 
Prot warrior’s been a PvP meme since forever so I’m not shocked in the slightest this was even a thing for them due to it pulling the same mods intended for Arms.
Not that it did Prot Warriors any good in rated PvP they were still laughing stocks all xpac like all tank specs should be.
