I mean, I live in Australia so I think it's unlikely any latency issues I'm suffering from are unrelated to the issues many of the posters here are suffering.
This thread is specific to people who are on Oceanic realms (regardless of where they live to begin with) having a specific problem of fixed low latency but high levels of "input" latency that aren't displayed. Taking five seconds to loot, instant casts taking similar lengths etc. It has been acknowledged as a known problem.
It's not just oceanic, this is a global issue.
is not just oceanic, i been getting lag at EST server and im getting huge lag spikes
Ok so ive had enough it's that bad that i have run a traceroute to every ip going from bottom to top

Everywher else times out. it;s funny cause while im in game on Barthilas. i get 20ms h 20ms world but any time i join a battleground or dungeon i get over 3kms world and its like watching 10000 people play portal everywher. if i connect to a us east or central group its the usual 300ms wich is fine im used to it.

Disable sharding and warmode, go back to the old server structure. Sharding is the problem and Warmode mandates that Sharding be a global thing.
Or, just get better at managing the shards.

@Shortfry that sounds like there might be an ISP issue on the way over to US West, at least. Post a new thread specifying that in the title. They aren't likely to be regularly monitoring this thread for new information that isn't related to the identified issue, so your post is probably falling on deaf ears.
Another week is about to pass and still no end in sight.
My take on the whole situation is there are too many people in the "Warmode off shard".
I have messed around on a number of toons doing varying things in BFA zones with it on and off.
WM Off = action delays
WM On = no action delays
Even when you come back to Boralus from Stormwind after turning WM on, the sheer amount of people not there is pretty amazing.

That's exactly what they're trying to do, do you even read the blue posts?
Hey folks,
I updated the title since we've been getting reports of other things due to the latency title. This thread is for a
known issue the devs are working on where your latency is normal, but you're experiencing delays. As of this point, we don't need any more information, but you're welcome to continue reporting the presence of the issue, what you were doing/where, and what time it was (server time) when it happened.
Presently this seems to be affecting Oceanic servers during peak hours. If you want some more info - click the link above. This should mostly if not only be happening in new content (such as the current warfront and Battle for Azeroth zones) due to clusters of player activity there.
I don't know if this is related to this issue but I keep getting "Transfer aborted, instance not found" whenever I am crossing zones or taking portals or using my hearthstone. This has made the game slightly unplayable since it is also affecting PvP queues. Half the time when I accept a queue, I can't get in and my partner just auto loses because 1v2. Also whenever I take a flight path that crosses zones, I will reach the edge of the zone, and then "transfer aborted", causing the flightmaster to drop me midair and letting me fall to death or over water.
This only started when I reached lvl 120 and turned war mode off.
I am alliance on Frostmourne, oceanic server but I live in Canada.
Can you please fix your sharding. Game is unplayable.

Could you also maybe add a link to the original post of your post where you note it's a recognised issue? There are many pages here and short of scanning through every single one it's hard to find that exact post (or even page) now if you are a new person. Just so the new people can see where we're at easier. =)
Do you still need WinMTRs from people? What should we be reporting?
Additionally (though I haven't checked today) the EU blues don't appear to have updated their thread of the same or similar issue and the poor folks over there are going nuts with no answers either. Can you (or someone else reading this) arrange for a post on the EU thread linking to our answering blue post? I know we certainly went a little stir crazy and it seems mad to just let them think nobody knows it's a problem still.

Ok, thats good, I thought I'd lost it when I saw the post and went...what...title different.
I'm glad it's a "known issue", let's hope it is soon to be a "resolved issue"...

Understood Drakuloth, I'll just add this:
I have had two deaths on my levelling toon tonight over the delays in casting.
I cant cast but it can attack me and damage me and I am HELPLESS at fighting back. The graveyards in Stormsong are haphazard, with more than a few times trying to navigate hills etc in the run back.
Press ability. Wait. Then it fires. Tried to use bubble on my pally...took two seconds to cast..by which time it was too late.
We are headed into mid October, and whilst you have given us details on what it is and that the team is working on it, what we dont have is any idea as to when we may expect even a partial fix.
It is infuriating, it is frustrating, combined with the fact that after two years we STILL play in the dark all the time, what we have can be best described as a very substandard gaming experience.
Hopefully one that can be improved.
Add this to the fact that despite repeated pleas for a fix, after two years we still play in the dark...it isnt much fun.
Can you do me a small kindness, look at this post, and advise.

106ms world latency, feels like it's 20 times that.
Presently this seems to be affecting Oceanic servers during peak hours.
We've been telling you that for 75+ pages.
Two second delay on casting, on evading enemy casts, on looting.
The fact that this is still a thing after weeks since launch is frankly disgraceful.
You used to be better than this. Your servers did too.
I know it's not your fault, you're just the flak-catcher. But I can't be the only one around here whose experience this expansion has been substantially affected by the inability to play the game properly.
Two hours in, and I should be having fun. But I'm giving up for the night, because it isn't getting any better and is a slog. It's unenjoyable. It's frustrating.
You've really made a mess here, and it's going to take a lot of work to get the goodwill back again.
It is literally taking me three seconds to get a loot window opening during WQs, and another three or so to finish auto looting, tonight. And don't even get me started on casting in combat!
All while home/world latency remain well under 30ms :-(

I recently purchased BFA and have been playing it for about 2 weeks with no issues at all. After the scheduled maintenance on Tuesday 2nd October I immediately started having having these latency issues with abilities and looting. My MS is 8 but feels like 200+. Sometimes my MS spikes but this had never happened before the maintenance.
I have read the blue post acknowledging the issue and I am glad that it is being looked at. However, I would still like to vent my frustration. As others have said, this latency issue kills immersion and diminishes the playing experience to the point that i don't want to log in anymore. I really like this game and even purchased a new PC for it and having this latency problem has really put a downer on my excitement and motivation to play.
I hope you the dev and support team can get this fixed as speedily as possible so we can all enjoy the game again.
Regards,
Ramza
This is due to sharding / CRZ and it's here to stay people, Blizzard don't care about this game and it's disgraceful to have something like this go on for so long.
This could be easily fixed if they removed sharding and crz since when I'm not in any crz shard it's fine. This game is trash now, this company is trash now, it's all about MAUs and to make the shareholders happy.
Unsub is the only message people should be sending to Blizzard.
