It is so bad right now and it taking me forever to loot and cast anything in Drustvar,it seem to be only that zone i lag out so bad..even my ping is showing 20ms and same for world ms too,it got to be on bilzz end and they don't want to be blame for it.
I think it may be the worst tonight I can recall. Spells lagging ferociously, having to attempt 3 times to use the flight whisle, flight point mounts not launching, its truly awful.
I'me just about fed up.
I'me just about fed up.
Hella bad on Barthilas Nazmir zone, takes 3-5 seconds to cast and loot.
Lagging on Saurfang in Drustvar, 25ms in-game. 3 second delay on spells and longer to loot, Non Warmode.

Likewise on Frostmourne right now.
Another night, this time on my Mage alt. How anyone is able to put up with playing a Caster class during this garbage lag is beyond me. What an absolute joke this is becoming.

Despite me cancelling my subscription, I guess it still went through and because I don't feel like trying to jump through the hoops to get a refund, I'm sticking around to fight through the lag (plus my GM and Raid Leader would kill me if I stopped gearing up for raid next week).
I've opened a ticket with Blizzard Support and put the link to this thread in there as well. I'm not sure what good it will do, but maybe it will steer some attention towards us. Here's to hoping.

It's as bad as the day of launch, nothing has changed as yet. I've lost confidence in them finding a fix, oceanic feels like it's destined to lag until the servers are dead at this rate. So frustrating but I'll download those third party programs (really un happy at doing it though) buts it's mind blowing they haven't found a fix yet
still bad tonight. ugh
It's basically unplayable tonight. Home and World MS are both under 20, and yet there's a 3-5 second delay on all actions in BFA zones. This world lag is really spoiling the start of expansion experience because simply trying to play the game is painful.
From what I've worked out running some network tests, I'm actually dealing with both intermittent lag between NZ and Australia (well past my fibre access and own ISP, I'd add), and this awful server-side lag especially in popular latest xpac world zones.
Sometimes I'll get a lag spike skyrocketing the 'home' ping, and I'll also find casting takes forever, etc, as with this BFA server lag. I hearthed earlier before accepting a Dungeon invite, nothing happened for like 30 secs, then the button animated, the cast bar finally moved, after which I waited a minute to finally be dumped into my home inn. Naturally I lost the invite. It's like the two types of lag and their two different symptoms are mixing together to super screw me over :-D

My belief from tonight's experience is that this is being caused by people joining raid WQ's and being server transferred to the one realm. When you complete the WQ and leave the raid you don't get transferred off the realm like you did in legion.
As the raid is continuously gaining new people after the the WQ is complete, the raid stays alive until the boss respawns in a never ending cycle. I suspect 100s or 1000s of people are being herded on to the one realm and we get server side lag.

This is basically what I've been thinking as well. I've seen World Quest boss groups continuously pulling people to a realm for several boss kills before the group falls apart, pulling in 40-120 people and up until the server starts lagging. It's not until those people leave for another World Quest, log off, etc. that it gets better.
I've also experienced the reverse where I'm not lagging until I join a World Quest elite group and then proceed to get horrible lag.

lol just saw this.
I don't know what is funnier, the obnoxious nonsense or the stupidity.
Regardless of where you play from, if you are on OCE servers, this will be happening to you.
You are part of the OCE market that blizzard could care less about.
Still no update? What a joke.
Nothing new from Blizz I see. I check this thread every night.
What's the go Blizzy, cat got your tongue?

it's just pure disappointment with blizzard at the moment...
Guys please can you answer us? We dont want epic loot or our classes to be made op, we are asking for help to play the game optimally.
Its clear our connections are not the problem. It's the shards.
Anywhere else in Azeroth the lag does not exist. Its perfect.
In the new zones however, its revolting.
Please stop ignoring us, give us some acknowledgement this is being followed up on. Even if you have no fix yet, please keep us posted.

My prediction - same as most everyone else I've spoken with: Blizzard does nothing and waits till the new expansion busyness subsides and solves the problem enough that it's infrequent enough to be ignored. As opposed to the crippling mess it is right now.
In fact I'm certain some said just that earlier in this multi-page thread that Blizzard is almost completely ignoring.

I have not once come across one post in this thread or in any other thread people calling Oceanic Servers, "Australian Servers".
And no, us players from Oceanic region are talking about lag within our game play.
EDIT: Also, in regards to my post, it only seems to be feeling very lagging in BfA zones. Everywhere else is fine for me.
